Set Up a Data Integrity Process

  • Updated

With Data Integrity, you can enrich objects by mapping Demandbase fields to the corresponding fields in Salesforce, Marketo, or Hubspot.

You can also decide when each field is enriched by setting schedules and choose whether to replace existing values or update only blank fields.

See Data Integrity Account and Contact Fields for the list of Demandbase fields available for data enrichment.

To manage and see details for existing Data Integrity processes, see Manage a Data Integrity Process.

Prerequisites

Create Data Integrity Process

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to Orchestration_N.png Orchestration > Data Integrity.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. Select an Integration type: Salesforce, Marketo, or HubSpot.
  4. Select a Member Type:
    • Salesforce: Accounts, Contacts, or Leads
    • Marketo: Leads
    • HubSpot MAS: Contacts
    • HubSpot CRM: Accounts or Contacts
  5. Click Create Process.

Step 1: Configure

  1. Record Segmentation: Select the records you want to enrich. There are two options:
    1. Enrich a segment of [Member Type] based on custom criteria: This allows you to proceed to Step 2: Segments where you can use selectors to define which types of records to enrich.
      • [Member Type] create after [date]: Enriches records created in your MAS or CRM after selected date.
        Important:
        • You must select a date prior to today. If you don’t, no records are enriched.
        • This step is optional for CRM and mandatory for MAS.
    2. Enrich all [Member Type]: This skips Step 2: Segments and enriches all records without filtering.
      • [Member Type] created after [date]: Enriches records created in your MAS or CRM after selected date.
        Important:
        • You must select a date prior to today. If you don’t, no records are enriched.
        • This step is optional for CRM and mandatory for MAS.
  2. Enrichment Frequency: Select how often you want to enrich records.
    • One Time Enrichment: Enrich records only once.
    • Enrich on create: Runs a onetime enrichment when a new record that meets the defined criteria is created in your MAS or CRM. This enrichment does not apply to existing records.
    • Enrich on a Schedule: Enrich records on a recurring schedule.
      1. First Enrichment: Select the first enrichment date and time.
      2. Enrichment Frequency: Select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly
        1. Repeat Every: For Weekly, set the interval and choose the specific day of the week. For Monthly, set the interval.
      3. (Optional) Enrich net new [Member Type] on creation: Toggle on to enrich new records created in your CRM or MAS in near real-time (NRT), provided they match the selector criteria for this process. Scheduled processes still run as usual.
Tip: Demandbase syncs data based on the settings you define in Data Sync Settings. Enrichment occurs after the sync and may take additional time, depending on data volume.
      4. Click Save.
  3. Click Next.

Step 2: Segment

  1. Using selectors, select fields you want to enrich. For example, enrich Leads that have an email address.
  2. Click the right blue refresh icon to see the number of records that meet the selector criteria.
Important: The  number of records are also based on the lookback date selected in Step 1: Configure > Record Segmentation > [Member Type] created after [date].
  3. Click Next.

Step 3: Enrich Fields

  1. Map each Demandbase field to the corresponding field in your Salesforce, Marketo, or HubSpot.
    Tips:
    • You can map a Demandbase field to multiple Salesforce, Marketo, or HubSpot fields.
    • You can delete fields by hovering over Update Option and clicking the trash icon.
    • To view the enrichment job status, create the following fields in your Salesforce, Marketo, or HubSpot and map them to the corresponding fields in Demandbase:
      • Data Integrity Status
        • Last Updated by Demandbase
        • Match Score
        • Match Status
        • Update Option: Select Overwrite (overwrite existing data) or Update only if blank (only sync data if field is blank.)
  2. (Optional) Select additional fields by clicking Add additional field.
  3. Click Next.
Important: All rows must be filled out before you can proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Review

  1. Review the configuration.
  2. Click Finish.
