Create Demandbase Calculated Fields for Disconnected Mode

  • Updated

Calculated Fields for Disonnected Mode allow customers to view rolled-up Demandbase metrics in Demandbase. You can use these fields for reporting, segmentation, and workflow automation.

Calculated fields are custom Demandbase fields that automatically calculate values over a specified date range. For example, the Engagement Minutes (1 mo.) calculated field displays the total engagement minutes accumulated by an account during the previous month. These time-based metrics help teams track account activity, identify trends, and measure engagement over defined periods.

Demandbase provides a set of standard calculated fields to help you get started.

Important: If a CRM integration is set up, see Create Demandbase Calculated Fields for Connected Mode.

Prerequisites

  • You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
Tip: The fields and their data is available to all Demandbase users.
  • For Calculated Fields that use activities, you must first assign Engagement Points to the activities. See Set Up Engagement Points for Activities.

Steps

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings_N.png Settings > Platform > Demandbase Calculated Fields.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Under Data, select from the available data types:
    • Engagement Minutes (also known as Engagement Points)
    • Count of Engagement Activities
    • Count of People
    • First Engagement Date
    • Last Engagement Date
    • Predictive Score (See Map Predictive Scores to CRM Custom Fields.)
    • Predictive Score - Opportunity Type (See Map Predictive Scores to CRM Custom Fields.)

    • Top Occurring Activities (top three activities): For the Top Occurring Type, select Intent to see Demandbase intent activity or Page URLs to see web pages visits.
Important: Top Occurring Intent is only available for Demandbase data. Third Party intent (Intent Surge) is excluded.
  4. Enter a Demandbase Field Label.
  5. (Optional) Configure the following (fields vary depending on the data type selected):
    • Time Range: We highly recommend you change the default All Time setting to a time range that is most relevant to your use case. For example, 30 days, 90 days, or one year.
    • Define Criteria: Add criteria using selectors. Selectors allow you to narrow down the calculation based on the filters applied.
  6. Click Save.

Outcome

Use the calculated field as a selector or field throughout Demandbase.

Demandbase calculated field data is available in the customer database as described in Understanding Demandbase Data Availability.
