Understanding Activities

  • Updated

An activity is any action taken by an account or its associated people to engage with your company. Activity data is a field type that can be used throughout Demandbase, such as table columns, selectors, reports, and other features that support fields.

Types of Activities

Activities can come from a variety of interactions, including:

  • Sales interactions: Attending a meeting, replying to an email, participating in a demo, or other direct engagement with your sales team.
  • Marketing interactions: Visiting your website, downloading or reading a white paper, clicking on ads, or attending events.

Why Activities Matter

Tracking and analyzing activities helps measure engagement and buying intent across accounts. A consistent volume and mix of activities can indicate that a prospect is ready to move from interest to opportunity in the sales funnel.

Sources of Activity Data

Activity data is collected from multiple sources, including:

Important:  Demandbase retains activity data for up to 25 months.
