In Demandbase, admins can upgrade a Salesforce Lite integration to a standard integration. Differences between the Lite and standard integrations include:
- Standard integration requires the Demandbase External Client App (from the Salesforce AppExchange).
- Standard integration reads and writes-back data to Salesforce.
- Standard integration requires a Salesforce Admin to set up the integration.
- All features that involve write-back, such as Demandbase Calculated Fields and Take Action, are supported.
As with the Lite Salesforce integration, the standard integration offers the optional Pardot integration. See Integrate Pardot and Demandbase.
Prerequisites
-
You must have Admin privileges for the same Salesforce tenant that was originally used for the Salesforce Lite integration.
Important: Do not integrate with a different Salesforce tenant. - You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
- Complete Step 1 and Step 2 from Demandbase and Salesforce Integration Overview to get your Salesforce OAuth information.
Steps
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > Integrated Systems > Integrations.
- Click Salesforce.
- Scroll down to OAuth Settings and click Edit.
-
Select Salesforce.
- Enter the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret from Step 2: Obtain Salesforce Credentials.
- Click Re-Authenticate.
- Complete Steps 4-7 from Demandbase and Salesforce Integration Overview.
Outcome
After successfully completing the steps, the standard integration is set up and data starts syncing as following:
- Data is processed after the initial sync and available in the database. See Understanding Demandbase Data Availability.
- You can check Data Sync status for data that is available with the standard integration.
