Integrate HubSpot Marketing Automation System (MAS) and Demandbase

The HubSpot MAS integration allows you to:

• Sync HubSpot Marketing Automation System (MAS) data into Demandbase.
• Add and remove people from HubSpot workflows from Demandbase One for Marketing using Take Action: HubSpot Workflows.
• Send contact data from Demandbase One for Sales to HubSpot MAS using Export to HubSpot.
• Install the Demandbase One for Sales App Card in HubSpot.

You can integrate HubSpot Marketing Automation System (MAS) with Demandbase using one of the following options:

• Integrate HubSpot MAS with Demandbase
• Connect HubSpot MAS to Demandbase through Salesforce

Prerequisites for Integrating HubSpot MAS with Demandbase

• You must have a HubSpot Marketing Professional or Enterprise subscription.
• You must have Salesforce Enterprise, Unlimited, or Performance edition if you connect HubSpot MAS to Demandbase through Salesforce.
• You must have Admin privileges in HubSpot.
• You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.

Integrate HubSpot MAS with Demandbase

Complete the following steps to configure the native HubSpot MAS integration.

Step 1: Authenticate

1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings > Integrated Systems > Integrations.
2. Click New Integration.
3. Under Marketing Automation System, click HubSpot.
4. Click Authenticate with HubSpot.
5. Log in to HubSpot using admin credentials and authenticate the integration.
6. Continue to Step 2: Field Selection.

Step 2: Field Selection

1. Go to the Contact tab and select the HubSpot MAS fields you want to sync into Demandbase.
   • To add fields, search for and drag and drop the fields under My Fields.
   • To delete fields, click the x to the right of the field.
     Important: Demandbase Required Fields are automatically selected by Demandbase and can't be edited. See list of Contact fields in Demandbase-HubSpot Required Fields.
2. Click Next.
3. In the confirmation pop-up, enter the desired historical backfill date, and click Proceed.
   Important: You can select a backfill date up to one year in the past. For data older than one year, contact Demandbase Support.
   
4. Continue to Step 3: Field Mappings.

Step 3: Field Mappings

1. Click the tab for the object you want to map to your HubSpot MAS. 
2. Find the Demandbase field you want to map.
3. In the HubSpot Field column, click the drop-down. 
4. Search for and select the HubSpot MAS field you want to map to the Demandbase field.
   Tip: You can map Demandbase fields to standard or custom HubSpot MAS fields.
5. (Optional) To remove a field mapping, hover over the field, and click the trash icon.
6. (Optional) To add another field mapping, click Add additional fields, and repeat steps 4-6.
7. From the top right Export Rule drop-down, select the export rule you want to apply to all fields. You can override the export rule for individual fields by selecting a different rule in that field's row.
   • Update, if blank: Demandbase sends data to HubSpot MAS only when the mapped HubSpot MAS field is blank.
   • Overwrite: Demandbase sends data to HubSpot MAS and overwrites any existing value in the mapped HubSpot MAS field.
8. Click Save.

Connect HubSpot MAS to Demandbase Through Salesforce

You can sync HubSpot MAS to Salesforce, then ingest the Salesforce data into Demandbase. See Hubspot's Workflow action article for instructions.

1. Send data from HubSpot MAS to Salesforce using one of the following methods: 
   • Salesforce Campaign Method
     Tip: Create the Salesforce Campaign before adding people to it.
     
   • Salesforce Tasks Method
     
2. Integrate Demandbase with Salesforce.
3. In Demandbase, see the HubSpot-related Salesforce data and fields.

Outcome

Demandbase ingests HubSpot MAS data through the native integration or your Salesforce integration.

Important: The initial data sync may take 2-5 days, depending on volume. You can monitor the progress in Demandbase at Settings > Demandbase-Wide Settings > Data Sync. See Understanding Data Sync Status.
