You can create users in Demandbase individually or add users in bulk.
After you create a user, you can change their permission sets, department, or user view. You can also reset the user's password if you use the Demandbase Authentication login method.

Important:
- Demandbase doesn’t delete assets such as lists, filters, and reports created by a user when you delete the user.
- If you delete a user that created activated Automations, Demandbase deactivates them and you must reactivate them manually. See Activate an Automation.
- The top right bar chart shows the number of seats available for your company.
Prerequisites
You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
Create a User

From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > User Management > Users and click Create New.

In the window that opens, enter the following:
- Name: User’s full name.
- Email: User’s email address (don't include spaces or parentheses after the domain).
- Permissions Sets: Select one or more permission sets for the user. You can add multiple permission sets by selecting each one individually from the drop-down list.
- Department: User’s department.
- View: User’s view.

Job Function: User’s job function.
Important: The options for Job Function can’t be edited.

Click Create.
Important:- After you create a user, Demandbase sends an email to the user with login instructions and also adds the user to the Users table.
- If you reach the maximum number of allowed users, Demandbase shows an error message. Delete existing users or reach out to your account manager to upgrade your plan.
Manage a User

From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > User Management > Users.
Tip: Use the top filters to find users by their assigned department, user view, permission set, or workspace (if available). -
Hover the user’s email, click the gear icon that appears, and select one of the following options:
- View Details: View details about the user, including their assigned permission sets.

Delete User: Delete the user.
Important: This option cannot be undone. You cannot recover deleted users. - Reset Password: Reset the user's password (if using Demandbase Authentication log in method)
- Change Permission Sets: Add or remove permission sets assigned to the user.
- Change Workspace: If you have a license for Workspaces, you can update the Workspaces the user can access. See Change Workspaces for Users.
- Change Department: Update the user’s department.
- Edit Profile: Update the user’s profile. You can change their first and last name, email address, user view, department, permission sets, and job function.

Change View: Update the view for the user.
Manage Multiple Users

From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > User Management > Users.
Tip: Use the top filters to find users by their assigned department, user view, permission set, or workspace (if available). - Select the checkboxes for the users you want to manage, click Take action, and select one of the following options:

Delete: Delete users.
Important: This option cannot be undone. You cannot recover deleted users. - Change View: Update the view for the users.
- Add Permission Sets: Add permission sets assigned to the users.
- Remove Permission Sets: Remove permission sets assigned to the users.
- Add Workspaces: If you have a license for Workspaces, you can add the Workspaces the users can access.
- Remove Workspaces: If you have a license for Workspaces, you can remove the Workspaces the users can access.
- Change Department: Update the department for the users.

Reset Password: Reset users password (if using Demandbase Authentication log in method)

Delete: Delete users.
Create Users for Demandbase One for Sales
You can grant access to Demandbase One for Sales (DBS) by assigning the system-generated Demandbase One for Sales permission set, or by assigning a custom permission set that includes access to Sales.

Important:
- Admins do not automatically have access to DBS. Make sure the appropriate permissions are granted to each admin user.
- For customers with a DBS-only license, you can manage users directly in the DBS web app. From DBS, navigate to Settings > Admin Settings > Users, and follow the same steps outlined in, Create a User, Manage a User, and Manage Multiple Users.
- Create a user in Demandbase One for Marketing (DBM) or DBS (for DBS-only customers). See Create a User.
Important: Once you create a user in DBM, the user is automatically created in DBS. - Assign a permission set for DBS using one of the following options:
- System-generated Demandbase One for Sales permission set: Go to the user profile > Permission Sets, and select Demandbase One for Sales.
Tip: This option only grants access to DBS. - Customized permission set: Go to a permission set > Sales tab, and configure the access level.
Tip: This option grants access to DBS, in addition to DBM.
- System-generated Demandbase One for Sales permission set: Go to the user profile > Permission Sets, and select Demandbase One for Sales.
- Click Create.
