The Demandbase One for Sales Engagement tab provides comprehensive information about your target company’s engagement activity.
Filters
You can filter Timeline, Intent, Highlights, Activities, and Heatmaps.
The default saved filter and date range displayed depends on your entry point:
- Sales Homepage: If accessed from the homepage, the date range and filters inherit the settings configured there.
- Global Search: If accessed via a global search (search bar), the date range defaults to your assigned user view.
Date Range
To modify the date range:
- Click a start or end date.
- Select specific dates using the calendar interface, or choose from predefined date ranges under Quick Picks.
Saved Filters
The Select Filter dropdown shows Activity and People saved filters only. By default the saved filter from the user view settings is applied.
Important:
- You can’t apply saved filters to Site Visit Intelligence, Intent, and Communication History.
- If a user's default saved filter is set to "Account" in their View settings, that filter is not applied to the Engagement tab.
Timeline
Timeline displays account engagement over a selected period. You can view it as a Deal Story or Engagement. Hovering over the trend lines in any chart shows the total Engagement Points and top activities at that specific time.
Deal Story
Deal Story highlights key activities and lets you view Marketing Engagement, Sales Engagement, or both as a trend line chart. Hover over an engagement in the chart displays more details such as the person who engaged and engagement date.
The blue bar chart at the bottom shows the progression of the account through your Journey Stages. Hovering over a stage in the bar shows how long the account's been in that Journey Stage.
Engagement
View the account’s Engagement Points by activity as a trend line chart.
You can change the time period to view Engagement Points by Day, Week, or Month. Clicking Auto changes the time period set in the data range filter.
Top Activities
By default, the chart displays all top activities by Engagement Points. To view total Engagement Points for a selected activity, click an item under Top activities by engagement points.
Categorize by Demandbase Field
To view Engagement Points grouped by a Demandbase field, click and select a relevant field from the Display top, categorized by dropdown.
Important: Selecting a field in the dropdown disables the top activities toggle button (). Select All Activities in the dropdown to enable.
Site Analytics
Site Visit Intelligence helps you understand who’s visiting your website within the selected date range. You can see metrics for the account's page views and unique visitors, the top known visitors and locations, and the pages that were viewed.

Intent
Intent displays Intent Keyword Sets, Keywords, and Bombora Intent (if available) for an account. See Understanding Demandbase Intent.
Keyword Sets
Keyword Sets tab shows a list of top keywords sets, top keywords within the sets, engagement points, top intent location, and recommended people.
You can view by All Intent or Competitive Intent (research against your competitors) keywords. You can also use the dropdown to filter keywords by keyword set.
Recommended People
In the Recommended People column, click View to see the name, person intent score, and engagement points for each recommended person in the keyword set. The source icons next to a person’s name indicate where the person record was pulled from, such as Salesforce, Demandbase, etc. See Understanding Recommended People and Person-Based Intent (PBI).
To Take Action with people, check the box next to the desired records and click Take Action.
Keywords
Keywords tab shows a list of top keywords, keyword sets each keyword belongs to, intent strength, and Top Location.
You can view by All Intent or Competitive Intent (research against your competitors) keywords. You can also use the dropdown to filter keywords by keyword set.
Bombora Intent
Bombora Intent provides Intent data collected by a co-operative of B2B media companies. To view this data, you must be a customer of both Bombora and Demandbase.
Highlights
Highlights display the most engaged people for the account. Most engaged people are based on factors such as a person’s role, their activities, etc.
For each person you can see the name, Engagement Points, job title, and list of completed activities. Click the person’s name to the Person dashboard in Demandbase One for Marketing to view related metrics. To view the account details in Demandbase One for Marketing, click the account name next to the job title.
Hovering over the person's tile shows a Salesforce icon (if applicable). Click to access the person’s record in Salesforce.

Activities
Activities provide a list of activities from the most engaged people in the account. You can use search or select a filter to refine the list. Click Export to download the list as a CSV. See Understanding Activities.
Click Edit Columns to change the columns displayed. You can:
- Add columns from the dropdown.
- Remove selected columns.
- Rearrange the column order.
- Freeze columns to scroll horizontally and keep those columns visible.
- Reset to default the default columns.
Heatmap
The Heatmap shows you Engagement Points based on your database fields selected in the Rows and Columns dropdown lists. Filter by Preset fields or Custom fields. Limit the number of rows displayed in Max Rows. See Understanding Heatmaps.
Click a cell to view specific information about the row and cell. Selecting a cell updates the Activities table based on the information in the selected cell.
Comm History
The Comm History section displays all email communication and meetings between your company and the account. You can filter the list by Emails and Meetings by clicking the filter icon next to the search bar.
For each communication, click the three dots to lock or delete an email thread or meeting. For emails, click the row to view the full email.
