General and admin users can reset passwords for Demandbase. Resetting a password ensures the security and continued access to Demandbase, protecting personal or sensitive information.
Demandbase also sends a password reset reminder five days before your password expires.
Important: This article is only applicable for users who log in via the Demandbase Authentication method.
Prerequisites
User must first be created in Demandbase and respond to the activation email within seven days. See Create and Manage Users.
Admin Users
You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > User Management > Users.
- Search for the user's name, ID, or email address.

Hover over the user and click
settings icon > Reset password.
- (Optional) To reset passwords for multiple users, select the checkboxes next to the users. Click Take Action > Reset Password.
General Users
- Go to the login page at https://web.demandbase.com.
- Click Need help signing in? and click Forgot password?
- Enter your Email and click Submit.
Outcome
Users receive an email with a unique link to reset their password and must respond within 1 hour. If the user does not receive the reset password email, check Spam and Junk folders.
- In the email from Demandbase, click Reset Password.
- Create a new password and click Reset Password.
Password requirements:
- Must be at least 8 characters in length.
- Must include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.
- May include symbols.
- Cannot contain any part of the user's name.
- Cannot be the same as the previous 20 passwords.
