The Export feature allows you to create new records or update existing records in your CRM using Demandbase One for Sales data. See Manage Demandbase One for Sales Field Mapping to CRM.
You can export Accounts, Contacts, and Leads from the Demandbase One for Sales platform (List Build Search, Family Tree, Global Search), Browser Extension, and iFrame in Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics. See Managing Export Settings.
Important:
- You can only export and update up to 25 records at a time.
- You cannot export data for objects that don’t exist in your CRM.
- You cannot create objects in your CRM using the Demandbase export function.
Export Accounts
This section outlines the steps to export Accounts to your CRM. In these examples, we're using Salesforce, but it works the same in Microsoft Dynamics.
Export Accounts as New Account Records

Go to an Account record, click the Export icon > Export to [CRM].
Important: Net New records do not have a blue check mark. -
Select the fields you want to export to your CRM.
Important: If you have required fields in CRM (Required flag in Salesforce, Business Required flag in Microsoft Dynamics), make sure you select a value. -
Click Export.
Update Existing Account Records

Go to an Account record, click the Export icon > Export to [CRM].
Important: Existing records have a blue check mark. -
The Account is matched against the Accounts in your CRM. Click Select for the Account you want to update in your CRM and click Next.

Select the fields you want to update in your CRM.
Important: If you have required fields in CRM (Required flag in Salesforce, Business Required flag in Microsoft Dynamics), make sure you select a value. -
Click Export.
Export or Update Multiple Account Records
- Go to List Build and apply relevant filters or select a Saved List.
- Go to the Company tab.

Choose the Accounts you want to export, click the Export icon > Export to [CRM].
Important: Existing records have a blue check mark. -
Select from the following options:

Create New Records Only: Only create new Account records in your CRM. Follow the Export Accounts as New Account Records instructions.
- Create New & Update Matches: Create new Account records AND update Account matches found in your CRM.

Create New Records Only: Only create new Account records in your CRM. Follow the Export Accounts as New Account Records instructions.
- If you have required fields in CRM (Required flag in Salesforce, Business Required flag in Microsoft Dynamics), select a value.
- Click Export.
Export People
This section outlines the steps to export People to your CRM. In these examples, we are using Salesforce, but it works the same in Microsoft Dynamics.
Important: When exporting Former Employees, you can only export Former Executives to Excel or CSV.
Export People as New Lead and Contact Records

Choose the person you want to export, click the Export icon > Export to [CRM] > Export as Lead or Contact.
Important: New records do not have a blue check mark. -
For Contact records, click Select for the desired matched Account from your CRM, and click Next.
Tip: For Leads, you don't have to select a matched Account. -
Select the fields you want to export to your CRM.
Important: If you have required fields in CRM (Required flag in Salesforce, Business Required flag in Microsoft Dynamics), make sure you select a value. -
Click Export.
Export People as New Contact Records for Accounts that Don't Exist in CRM
This feature creates both new Contact and Account records in your CRM.

Choose the person you want to export, click the Export icon > Export to [CRM] > Export as Contact.
Important: New records do not have a blue check mark. -
Click Create a New Account Record to create a new Account record in your CRM.

Select the fields you want to export to your CRM.
Important: If you have required fields in CRM (Required flag in Salesforce, Business Required flag in Microsoft Dynamics), make sure you select a value. -
Click Export.
Update Existing Lead and Contact Records

Choose the Person you want to update, click the Export icon > Export to [CRM] > Export as Lead or Contact.
Important: Existing records have a blue check mark.

For Contact records, click Select for the desired matched Account from your CRM, and click Next.
Tip: For Leads, you don't have to select a matched Account. -
Select the correct matched Lead or Contact in your CRM, and click Next.
Tip: You can also update a different Lead or Contact in your CRM by searching for the record you want to update. -
Select the fields you want to update in your CRM.
Important: If you have required fields in CRM (Required flag in Salesforce, Business Required flag in Microsoft Dynamics), make sure you select a value. -
Click Export.
