Configure Imported User Settings

  • Updated

The User Settings page allows you to manage the following settings for users you add in bulk.

  • Department assignment: Configure how Demandbase handles imported users without an assigned department. See Create and Manage Departments.

  • CRM user updates: Configure whether Demandbase syncs changes to imported users' names, email addresses, and departments (Salesforce only).
Tip: The frequency of user updates depends on your CRM integration's data sync settings.

Prerequisites to Configure Imported User Settings

You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.

Configure Department Settings

Use department settings to control how Demandbase handles imported users who do not have a valid department assignment.

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings N.png Settings > User Management > User Settings.
  2. Toggle on or off the following:

    • Enforce Departments: Requires all imported users to be assigned to a valid department.
    • Create New Departments: Automatically creates a new department for imported users if the department does not already exist in Demandbase.
Important: You cannot enable both settings at the same time.

The following table shows how Demandbase handles users based on these settings.
