Integrate Demandbase with Snowflake Data Warehouse

  • Updated

The Demandbase Snowflake Data Warehouse integration securely ingests first-party data from Snowflake into Demandbase for enrichment, scoring, segmentation, and other go-to-market workflows.

You can map Snowflake tables and columns to Demandbase objects and fields without using manual CSV imports or custom data pipelines.

Benefits of Integrating Snowflake Data Warehouse with Demandbase

  • Improve enrichment and scoring: Ingest account, contact, opportunity, and activity data to improve account intelligence and prioritization.
  • Create segments: Use first-party Snowflake data to create segments and support go-to-market workflows.
  • Eliminate manual data imports: Ingest data directly from Snowflake without using CSV imports or custom data pipelines.

Understand Data Availability and Refresh Schedules for the Snowflake Integration

When Snowflake Data Becomes Available After Initial Configuration

After you configure the Snowflake integration, Demandbase begins ingesting data from your mapped Snowflake tables. Initial data processing may take up to 24 hours.

If data is unavailable after 24 hours, contact Demandbase Support..

How Often Demandbase Refreshes Data from Snowflake

Demandbase ingests updated data from your mapped Snowflake tables daily. Most updates become available in Demandbase within 24 hours of processing. The exact timing may vary by dataset.

When Snowflake Data Becomes Available After Configuration Changes

Demandbase applies changes to your Snowflake integration configuration during subsequent data processing. Allow up to 24 hours for updated data to become available.

When you add new objects or fields to the mapping, Demandbase backfills all available historical data.

Prerequisites to Integrate Demandbase with Snowflake Data Warehouse

  • You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
  • You must have your Snowflake Account Identifier and Username.
  • You must have the Snowflake Role, Warehouse, Database, and Schema that Demandbase uses to access your data.
  • The Snowflake user and role used for the integration must have the required permissions to access the configured warehouse, database, schema, tables, and columns.
  • You must have permission to assign the RSA public key generated by Demandbase to the Snowflake user.

Step 1: Authenticate the Snowflake Integration

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to unnamed.png Settings > Integrated Systems > Integrations.
  2. Click New Integration.
  3. Under Data Warehouse, click Snowflake.
  4. Go to the Step 1: Authenticate tab.
  5. Enter the following Snowflake information:
    • Account Identifier
    • Username
  6. Generate and assign an RSA Public Key (RSA 2048-bit):
    1. Under Public Key (RSA 2048-bit), click Generate.
    2. Copy the generated public key.
Tip: Hover over the public key field to see user details.
    3. In Snowflake, assign the public key to the Snowflake user used for the integration.
  7. Click Next to continue to Step 2: Configure.

Step 2: Configure the Snowflake Connection Settings

Important: To modify the Snowflake connection settings after initial configuration, contact Demandbase Support.

  1. Go to the Step 2: Configure tab.
  2. Enter the following Snowflake information:
    • Role
    • Warehouse
    • Database
    • Schema
  3. Click Next to continue to Step 3: Table Mapping.

Step 3: Map Demandbase Objects and Fields to Snowflake Tables

To ingest Snowflake data into Demandbase, you must map each Demandbase object to a Snowflake table and its required fields to Snowflake columns.

Map Demandbase Objects to Snowflake Tables

  1. Go to the Step 3: Table Mapping tab.
  2. Under Step 1: Table Mapping, locate the Demandbase object you want to map.
  3. In the corresponding Snowflake Table column, click the dropdown menu.
  4. Search for and select the Snowflake table to map to the Demandbase object.
  5. Repeat steps 2–4 for each Demandbase object.
  6. (Optional) To map additional custom activities:
    1. Click Add Activity.
    2. Enter a name for the custom activity.
    3. Select the Snowflake table to map to the custom activity.

Important: The standard Demandbase Account, Contact, and Opportunity objects are grayed out and cannot be edited. You can add and rename custom Activity objects.

Map Demandbase Fields to Snowflake Columns

  1. Go to Step 2: Field Mapping.
  2. Select the tab for the Demandbase object you want to map.

  3. For each required Demandbase field, click the drop-down in the corresponding Snowflake Column column.
  4. Search for and select the Snowflake column to map to the Demandbase field.
  5. Repeat steps 3–4 to map all required fields for the object.

  6. (Optional) To remove a mapping, click the x icon next to the mapped Snowflake column.
Important:  Required fields are grayed out and cannot be removed.
  7. (Optional) To map additional fields, click Add additional fields, and select the Demandbase fields and corresponding Snowflake columns.
  8. Repeat steps 2–7 for each mapped Demandbase object.

  9. Click Save Field Mappings.
  10. Click Submit.

Outcome of Integrating Demandbase with Snowflake Data Warehouse

After you configure the integration, Demandbase begins ingesting data from your mapped Snowflake tables into the corresponding Demandbase objects and fields.

Once the data becomes available, you can use it for enrichment, scoring, segmentation, and other supported Demandbase workflows.

Demandbase refreshes the mapped data daily to keep your first-party data up to date.
