Understanding Gong Call Intelligence in the Account Intelligence Agent (AIA)

  • Updated

Gong Call Intelligence in the Account Intelligence Agent (AIA) gives sellers immediate access to insights from customer calls. Instead of reviewing Gong call recordings or reading full transcripts, sellers can ask AIA questions about previous Gong calls and receive answers based on the conversation and broader account context.

Important:

  • You must integrate Gong with Demandbase. If you already have a Gong integration, re-authenticate it to grant additional permissions required for Gong Call Intelligence.
  • Transcript-based responses require transcripts to be available in Gong.
  • The quality and completeness of AIA responses depend on the information available in Gong.
  • Historical calls may not be available if they are inaccessible or do not include transcripts.

Benefits of Gong Call Intelligence in AIA

When the Gong integration is configured and transcript access is available, AIA can:

  • Summarize Gong calls.
  • Answer questions about specific calls.
  • Identify customer concerns, priorities, and goals.
  • Highlight next steps and action items.
  • Show who attended each meeting.
  • Identify Buying Group members who attended each call and highlight missing stakeholders.
  • Generate more relevant recommendations based on Gong call history.

Gong Call Data Used by AIA

AIA uses the following data from Gong calls:

Information Description
Call timestamp Date and time of the meeting.
Participants People who attended the call.
Transcript Full meeting transcript, when available.
Topics discussed Key business topics, customer priorities, concerns, and objections.

Identify Buying Group Participation from Gong Calls

AIA compares Gong meeting participants with the account's Buying Group to help sellers understand stakeholder engagement.

For example, AIA can help identify:

  • Buying Group members who participated in customer calls.
  • Important personas that have not yet been engaged.
  • Potential decision makers who are missing from recent meetings.
  • Opportunities to broaden engagement across the buying committee.

This helps sellers prepare more effective follow-up and engage the right stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.

Example Prompts for Gong Calls

Tip: Demandbase provides goal-based prompts for AIA. In the chat interface, select a goal to view the related prompts. See Analyze Recent Calls.

Ask AIA questions about previous Gong calls, such as:

  • Summarize the latest Gong call.
  • What were the customer's primary concerns?
  • What next steps did we agree to?
  • Who attended the last meeting?
  • Which buying group members participated in the call?
  • Who should we include in the next meeting?
  • What objections did the customer raise?
  • What products or competitors were discussed?
  • What follow-up actions should I complete before the next meeting?
  • What commitments did our team make during the call?
