Map Segments to CRM Custom Fields

You can use Account or People segments as the source for a calculated field, and then sync the calculated field to a custom CRM field. This allows segment data from Demandbase to be sent to your CRM, where it can be used for reporting, filtering, automation, and other CRM workflows.

Important: You can only use Account and People segments in Calculated Fields.

Prerequisites

  • You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
  • You must integrate Demandbase with a CRM.
  • Read Understanding Segments.

Steps

  1. Create a custom Account, Lead, or Contact field in your CRM. 
  2. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings_N.png Settings > Platform > Demandbase Calculated Fields.
  3. Click Create New.
  4. Enter the following:
    • Data: Segment
    • Segment: Select the segment you want to map to CRM.
    • Map to [CRM] [Object] Field: Select the CRM custom field from step 1.
    • Write-back Enabled: Toggle on to push Demandbase data to your CRM.
  5. Click Save.

Outcome

Demandbase calculated field data is available in the customer database as described in Understanding Demandbase Data Availability.
