Before you can target your advertising campaigns by Journey Funnel in Campaign Builder Step 2: Journey Targeting, you must first designate Journey Stages that align with your funnel.
Once these stages are designated, the corresponding Journey Funnel areas are automatically populated in Step 2: Journey Targeting, simplifying the campaign configuration process.
The Advertising Funnel Designations categorizes your Journey Stages into the following milestones:
- Awareness: Top-of-the-funnel stages
- Acquisition: Middle-of-the-funnel stages
- Acceleration: Bottom-of-the-funnel stages
- Customer: Post-customer stages
Example of Designated Journey Stages
The following is an example of Designated Stages in your Journey Funnel:

Prerequisites
- You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
- Complete setting up Journey Stages. See Edit and Publish Account Journey Stages.
Steps
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > Journey > Account Journey Builder.
- Hover over a Journey Funnel, click the gear icon, and click Designate Stages.
- Go to the Advertising Funnel Designations section.
- Use the drop-down menus to add stages to each of the designations. You can also remove stages by clicking the X.
