Demandbase Agentforce Prospecting Agent

  • Updated

The Demandbase Prospecting Agent on Agentforce is a Salesforce-native solution that brings Demandbase One for Sales (DB1S) insights directly into your Agentforce workflows. Instead of relying on static data or switching between tools, you can access dynamic, built-in account prioritization powered by DB1S. By combining real-time engagement, pipeline, and intent data, the Prospecting Agent helps you identify which accounts to target and why.

Built on Salesforce Agent Builder and integrated through the DB1S package, the Prospecting Agent automatically keeps your high-priority accounts updated based on the latest signals.

Use Cases

Use Case When to Use
Account Prioritization You want to find the highest-potential accounts directly inside Salesforce so you don’t have to switch between tools.
Best Practice Prospecting You want to give your reps a place to start when prospecting, so they always know where to look for the target accounts they should focus on and understand why those accounts are prioritized.
Optimized Workflows You want to ensure that your reps are focused on the right accounts, with shared logic and visibility into their performance.

Prerequisites

Accessing the Prospecting Agent

  1. Log in to your Salesforce account.
  2. In the top navigation, click the Agentforce icon .
  3. Depending on how your admin configured the Demandbase Agent, you may encounter one of the following experiences:
    • Standalone Agent: If the Demandbase Agent is created as a separate agent and it is the only agent configured in your Salesforce account, you only see the Demandbase Agent.
    • Merged Topic: If the Demandbase Agent topic is added to your org’s Default Agent (or another existing agent) and no separate Demandbase Agent is created and activated, you see the Agentforce (Default) Agent or another existing agent. In this case, your visible agent includes Demandbase’s prospecting capabilities.
    • Multiple Agents: If the Demandbase Agent is created as a separate agent and activated, and other agents are also activated, you have the option to switch between agents using a dropdown menu.

Using the Prospecting Agent

When the agent opens, if the Default agent is enabled, it may display a set of Salesforce-provided suggested prompts. These are standard Salesforce prompts and not customized by or for Demandbase. You’ll need to manually enter prompts in the chat box to get started.

With the Demandbase Prospecting Agent, you can request information about accounts from Account Lists and in the following pre-MQA Journey Stages:

  • Accounts to reach out to: ranked by
  • Accounts most engaged: ranked by the highest Engagement Points during the selected date range (default 7 days).
  • Accounts with the highest intent: ranked by the highest Intent Engagement Points during the selected date range.

Scope of Prompts

These example prompts illustrate the scope of the Prospecting Agent and highlight the kinds of account-related questions it can respond to.

Example Prompts

  • “Show me accounts that I should reach out to.”
  • “Show me accounts that are most engaged.”
  • “Show me accounts with the highest intent.”

Example Result

From a prompt for “Show me accounts that you should reach out to.”

By default, 5 accounts are displayed. You can ask the agent to “Show more accounts”.

Account Lists and Date Range Prompts

If you don’t specify a date range or account list, the agent defaults to using your DB1S default Account List and data from the last 7 days.

Example Prompts

  • “Show accounts to reach out to from [account list name] list.”
  • “Show accounts to reach out to from the last [7 days, 30 days, 3 months].”

View Company Details

Click on an account to view a summary of the account within the context of the prompt.

Built-In Suggested Prompts

After you run an initial search, the agent provides suggested prompts to help you refine results or continue your search:

  • Show me more accounts
  • Change account list
  • Change date range
  • Change account prioritization – adjust the type of accounts returned from the account list: accounts to reach out to, accounts most engaged, or accounts with highest intent.

Additionally, you’ll see a list of contextual Recommendations. For example, if you ask the agent to show which accounts to reach out to, you might see the following list of recommended prompts:

  • Show me details for the first account
  • Change the account list
  • Define prioritization frameworks
