Create Custom Activity Types and Fields

The Activity Types page shows all activities from your CRM, Marketing Automation System (MAS), CSV imports, and Demandbase.

If importing custom activities via CSV, you must first create the corresponding activity types and fields. Once created, you can edit the labels for the custom activities as needed.

Important:

• You cannot delete activities from Demandbase.
• It may take up to 24 hours to see new activities in Demandbase.

Steps: Create Custom Activity Types

1. Go to Settings > Platform > Activity Types.
2. Click Create New.
   
3. Enter a label for the custom activity type and click Create.
   

Steps: Edit Custom Activity Types

You can edit the label and description for custom activity types imported via CSV.

1. Go to Settings > Platform > Activity Types.
2. Search for and click on a CSV activity type.
   Tip: Activity source = CSV Activity.
3. Go to the Details tab and hover over Label or Description.
4. Click the pencil icon.
5. Make your edits and click the checkmark icon.

Steps: Create Custom Activity Fields

1. Search for and click on a CSV activity type.
   Tip: Activity source = CSV Activity.
2. Go to the Fields tab.
3. Click Create New.Tip:Demandbase required fields are created automatically.
   
4. Enter Field Label.
5. Enter Field Name.
6. (Optional) Check the Required box if the field must be filled when importing data.
   
7. Click Create.

Steps: Edit Custom Activity Fields

You can edit the label and requirement for custom activity fields imported via CSV.

1. Go to Settings > Platform > Activity Types.
2. Search for and click on a CSV activity type.
   Tip: Activity source = CSV Activity.
3. Go to the Fields tab and hover over the Field Label.
4. Click the settings icon > Edit.
5. Make your edits and click Update.
