Set Up Intent for Bombora Integration

The Demandbase and Bombora partnership allows you to sync Bombora Intent Topics directly into Demandbase. You can use Bombora intent to power marketing and sales growth at every stage of the account journey.

Bombora intent is synced on a weekly basis and can be used in various areas in Demandbase such as:

• Account lists, filters, reports, and segments
• Intent engagement points
• Journey stages
• Predictive scores
  Tip: We recommend waiting at least a month after syncing Bombora Intent Topics to retrain your predictive scores
• Advertising campaigns
• Marketing campaigns, such as nurtures, personalized websites, and conversational marketing experiences

You can sync Bombora intent with Demandbase using the following options:

• Select Bombora Intent Topics
• Import Bombora Intent CSV File

Prerequisites

• You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
• You must have a paid Bombora license. If you have a Bombora license and don’t see the Bombora interface in Demandbase, reach out to your Demandbase Account Team.
• You must contact Demandbase Support to set up the data sync between Demandbase and Bombora.

Select Bombora Intent Topics

1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings > Analytics > Intent Data > Bombora Intent Topics tab.
2. (Optional) To filter the topics, select a theme and category from the drop-down list.
3. In the Search/Select Topics box, search for or select a topic.
4. (Optional) To see intent for a specific account list instead of all accounts, select an account list from the Choose Account List drop-down. The change is applied immediately.
5. Click Save. 

Import Bombora Intent CSV File

1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings > Analytics > Intent Data > Bombora Intent Topics tab.
2. Click Import CSV File.
3. Click Click to add file and upload a CSV file. 
   Important:
   • Include only one column with Topics separated by row.
   • Do not include a column header.
   • Importing a list of Topics overrides all previously uploaded Topics.
4. Click Import. 
5. In the success message box, click close.
6. (Optional) To see intent for a specific account list instead of all accounts, select an account list from the Choose Account List drop-down. The change is applied immediately.
7. Click Save.

Use Bombora Intent as Selectors

You can include Bombora Intent data when using selectors in Demandbase. See Working with Selectors. 

1. In the selector module, click the Advanced tab.
2. Choose the Intent Surge activity selector.
3. Click the arrow next to Add constraints and choose the constraints you want to use:
   • Intent Topic: Name of Bombora Topic. 
     Tip: To use all intent, remove the Intent Topic constraint.
   • Activity Date: Date the intent came into Demandbase.
   • Source: Set operator as Equals and value drop-down as Bombora.
     
4. Click Save. 

Configure Engagement Points Using Bombora Intent

You must assign engagement points to Bombora Intent to see the data in Demandbase. See Set Up Engagement Points for Activities. 

1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings > Analytics > Engagement Points.
2. In the Choose Category drop-down, select Intent Activities.
3. Under the 3rd Party Intent Surge section, set Any Value drop-down to Intent Surge.
4. In the Operator drop-down, select an operator.
5. In the Enter Criteria field, enter the name of a Bombora intent topic. 
6. In the Points field, enter a number above zero. 
   Tip: We recommend using a decimal value between 0 and 1 for intent engagement points.
7. Click Save at the top right.
