October 2024 Product Update

  • Updated

New Features:

Auto-Archive Lists

We are introducing auto-archive controls within the Database section that relocates unused account, people, and opportunity lists to an archived Database page. This helps to clean up the database and reduce the active lists to the ones most relevant for customers.

The benefits of this feature include:

  • Improves platform usability: Old and unused lists can be archived, improving overall list organization
  • Reduces customer confusion: Less active lists allow marketers and sellers to focus only on the lists they access most often.
  • Improves overall list management: Allows MOPs to more easily manage lists in the database.
  • Increases marketing and sales efficiency: There are fewer lists to sort through to find the list you need for campaigns and prioritization

See Manage Auto-Archived Account, People, and Opportunity Lists.

Custom Activities - Import API (Available November 1)

This feature allows customers to define and import any generic activity from other data sources into Demandbase. Customers will be able to define and import these custom activities using the Data Import API, for use with Selectors and to score Engagement Minutes.

The benefits of this feature include:

  • Added customizability and flexibility: Allowing custom activity types allows customers to define any activity they care about and add the activity data to Demandbase.
  • Creates a holistic view of an account: This functionality removes the limit of specific predefined activity types, allowing customers to truly have one view of an account’s engagement.

Product Changes:

Self-serve Upgrade from Salesforce Lite to the Standard Integration

This feature allows customers to upgrade from the Salesforce Lite integration to the standard integration from the Integrations page in the platform. By integrating with the standard integration, customers are able to take advantage of more use cases tied to bidirectional data syncs, including Calculated Fields. The self-serve toggle allows customers to perform the upgrade without contacting Demandbase support.

See Upgrade from Salesforce Lite to Standard Integration.

Intent Filtering in Prescriptive Sales Dashboards

This new filtering option provides sales teams with a more refined and flexible way to identify high-value accounts. Users can now apply filters based on specific keywords or keyword sets, making it easier to engage with accounts showing the strongest interest in relevant solutions. This reduces noise in the account prioritization process and helps drive more targeted outreach efforts.

See Understanding the Prescriptive Sales Dashboards.

Additional Intent Data Sources

Demandbase has expanded the scope of its intent data sources by adding two additional data sources, which source intent beyond the advertising bidstream that forms the backbone of the current offering. These data sources will improve the quality and quantity of intent that our customers receive across our supported 133 languages.
