In Demandbase, inactive account, person, and opportunity lists are automatically archived. Auto-archiving lists allows you to streamline list organization, reduce user confusion, and enhance marketing and sales efficiency.
TIp: You can unarchive lists at any time. When you unarchive a list, Demandbase dynamically populates all historical data.
When Lists Are Automatically Archived
By default, lists are automatically archived if they meet the following requirements:
- List hasn’t been accessed in the last six months.
- List is part of an expired ad campaign that hasn't been reactivated in the last six months.
Demandbase looks at the following fields to auto-archive lists:

Last date the list was viewed or used by a user, or queried by Demandbase. TIp: The Last Accessed Date field updates when a list is used in these features, which may cause the date to appear as today. |
| Ad Campaign Expiration Date | Date the ad campaign expired. |
Important: You can adjust the auto-archive timeframe in the Company Settings page. See Edit the Default Auto-Archive Timeframe.
Lists Excluded from Auto-Archiving
Lists used in the following features are not automatically archived:
- Advertising campaigns
- Reports
- Subscriptions
- Predictive modeling
- Selectors (Member of List)
- Account List Dashboard
- Orchestration
- Personalization
- Lists generated by Demandbase. See Demandbase System Account Lists.
Prerequisites
You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required Demandbase settings access.
Steps: Edit the Default Auto-Archive Timeframe
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > Company Settings.
- Scroll down to the Auto-Archiving Lists section.
- From the drop-down, select the desired expiration timeframe.
Steps: Unarchive Lists
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Database > Account Lists, Person Lists, or Opportunity Lists.
- Click the three dots at the top right > Archived Lists.
- Select the checkboxes for the lists you want to unarchive.
- Click Activate.
- Select the activate list checkbox and click Activate.
