Take Action with People in Demandbase One for Sales

In Demandbase One for Sales, you can Take Action with people to add them to Gong Engage Flows, or add or remove them from Outreach Sequences and Salesloft Cadences. This allows you to send people to sales engagement tools directly from Demandbase, eliminating the need to switch to external platforms.

You can Take Action with Known and Net New people. 
Important: Net New people must first be added as a Contact to your CRM before you can Take Action. See Steps: Take Action with Net New People for instructions.

The following table shows information about Known vs. Net New people.

People Record Type Definition How to Identify
Known people CRM, MAS, and CSV people records with an email address. Once synced into Demandbase, the person is matched against an account using the Lead to Account Matching feature. See Understanding Lead to Account Matching

Has green check mark.

Net New people Third party people records provided by Demandbase. These records are not in your CRM, Marketing Automation System, or CSV imports.

Doesn't have green check mark.

The Take Action feature is available in the following areas of Demandbase One for Sales: 

  • Account tab > Top People section 
  • People tab 
  • Person profile page

Prerequisites

Take Action with Known People

  1. Log in to the Demandbase One for Sales iFrame or web app.
  2. Go to a Known person record and click the export icon.
    Tip: You can also Take Action with multiple people. Click the checkboxes next to multiple known people records and click the export icon.

  3. Select one of the following Take Action options: 
    • Add or Remove from Outreach Sequence
    • Add or Remove from Salesloft Cadence
    • Add to Gong Engage Flow
      Important: You can't remove people from Gong Engage flows.

  4. Select assignee and workflow information from the drop-down lists. See the following articles for instructions. 
  5. Click Confirm.

Take Action with Net New People

  1. Log in to the Demandbase One for Sales iFrame or web app.
  2. Go to a Net New person record and click the export icon.
    Tip: You can also Take Action with multiple people. Click the checkboxes next to multiple Net New people records and click the export icon

  3. Select one of the following Take Action options: 
    • Add to Outreach Sequence
    • Add to Salesloft Cadence
    • Add to Gong Engage Flow

  4. Net New people must first be added as a Contact to your CRM before you can Take Action. From the drop-down list, select your CRM and click Continue.

  5. Find the desired matched account from your CRM and click Select.
    Important: You can only match people records to accounts that exist in your CRM.
  6. Click Next

  7. Select the fields you want to export to your CRM and click Export. 
    Important: Make sure you select a value for required fields in your CRM (Required flag in Salesforce, Business Required flag in Microsoft Dynamics).

  8. In confirmation page, click Done.
  9. In the Take Action page, select assignee and workflow information from the drop-down lists. See the following articles for instructions. 
  10. Click Confirm.
