Define the Interacted Metric in the Campaigns Dashboard

  • Updated

You can define how the Interacted metric is calculated in the Campaigns dashboard

Demandbase provides two options for determining when an account is counted as Interacted:

  • Page Views: Total number of pages that an account visited on your website.
  • Unique Sessions: Number of 2-hour windows during which a device associated with the account viewed your website.
    Important:
    • Multiple page views from the same device within the 2-hour window count as one session.
    • If the same device views pages after the 2-hour window ends, a new session begins.

Example:

  1. At 9:00 AM, a user from an account opens your website on their laptop
  2. At 10:00 AM, they visit another page on the same device

This activity counts as:

  • 2 page views, or
  • 1 unique session (both actions occur within the same 2-hour window)

Next:

  1. At 10:30 AM, the user opens your website on their mobile phone

This adds:

  • 1 additional page view, or
  • 1 additional session because it is a different device

Finally:

  1. At 11:30 AM, the user visits another page on their laptop

Because this occurs more than 2 hours after the original 9:00 AM visit, it counts as:

  • 1 additional page view, or
  • 1 new session
