Configure Settings for Site Customization

  • Updated

The Site Customization Configurations page allows you to manage settings that control how personalized experiences are delivered and tracked. Available settings include:

Wait for Google Analytics

When enabled, Demandbase continuously attempts to send Site Customization events to Google Analytics until GA becomes available.

Important:

  • We recommend keeping this setting enabled to ensure event tracking data is sent whenever possible.
  • The personalized experience loads regardless of whether the event is successfully sent to GA.
  • Enabling this setting helps maximize the number of Site Customization events captured in Google Analytics.

Delay Modification

When enabled, Demandbase repeatedly attempts to load the personalized experience during the configured wait period. When disabled, Demandbase attempts to load the experience only once before the non-personalized page is displayed.

Important:

  • Keep the wait time below 10,000 milliseconds.
  • We recommend the default wait time of 5,000 milliseconds for most implementations.
  • Place the Demandbase tag near the top of your webpage to allow personalized experiences to load as quickly as possible.

Always Send to Google Analytics

When enabled, Demandbase sends all tracked events to Google Analytics, regardless of whether the Site Customization experience loads successfully.

Important: This setting helps ensure event data is captured consistently, even if a personalization experience does not render as expected.
