Configure Settings for Site Customization

  • Updated

Context

The Site Customization feature allows you to create customized experiences on your website. From the Site Customization Configurations page, you can configure customization settings directly from Demandbase. The settings you can configure include:

Prerequisites/Preparation

You must have the Demandbase Personalization solution. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager for more information.

You must have the Demandbase tag deployed on your website.

You must have Demandbase admin privileges.

Steps

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings N.png Settings > Tag Configurations > Site Customization Configurations tab
  2. Adjust the following settings:
    • Wait for Google Analytics
      • When set to active, Demandbase repeatedly attempts to send the site customization event to GA until GA is available. The site customization experience loads regardless of Demandbase sending the event to GA.
      • A best practice is to keep the setting active to track as many site customization events in GA as possible.
    • Delay Modification
      • When set to active, Demandbase repeatedly attempts to load the site customization during the set wait time. If inactive, Demandbase attempts to load the customization once before the non-customized page loads.
      • A best practice is to keep the wait time below 10,000 milliseconds (5,000 milliseconds is the default.) Also, insert the Demandbase tag at the top of your web page to make sure the customization loads as soon as possible.
    • Always Send to Google Analytics
      • When set to active, Demandbase sends all tracked events to GA, regardless of the site customization loading successfully.
