Manage Demandbase One for Marketing Field Mapping to Salesforce

Demandbase One for Marketing can create new Account, Contact, and Lead records in your Salesforce CRM. You can make sure the data syncs to the correct Salesforce fields by managing the field mapping.

Prerequisites

  • You must have Admin privileges within your Salesforce and Demandbase environments.
  • Integration user must have create and edit permissions in Salesforce.
  • The fields must be visible to the Demandbase-Salesforce integration user.

Steps

  1. See Step 3: Add Salesforce Integration in Demandbase One and complete steps 1-4.
  2. In the Salesforce Setup Wizard, go to Step 5: Field Mappings tab.
  3. Click the tab for the object you want to map to your CRM. 
  4. Find the desired Demandbase field. 
  5. In the Salesforce Field column, click the drop-down. 
  6. Search for and select the Salesforce field you want to map to.
    Tip: You can map both standard and custom fields.
  7. Use the top right Export Rule drop-down to apply an export rule to all fields. You can override the rule for individual fields by selecting a different export rule in that field's row.
    • Update, if blank: Only push Demandbase data to Salesforce if the field is blank.
    • Overwrite: Push all Demandbase data to Salesforce and overwrite the existing data.
  8. (Optional) To delete a field, hover over the field, and click the trash icon.
  9. (Optional) To add fields, click Add additional fields, and repeat steps 4-7.
  10. Click Save.
