Edit and Manage Campaigns

Context

You can edit, manage, pause or end, view settings, and view the change history of a campaign. The permissions to edit or manage a campaign depend on the campaign status.

Edit Campaigns 

The following table shows the settings you can edit in draft and published campaigns. 

Setting Draft Campaign Published Campaign
Account List/Keyword Set (change the account list and keyword set) x  
Ad Groups (add or remove creatives)  x x
Budget (increase or decrease the budget)  x New budget can’t be below what has already been delivered. 
Campaign name (rename the campaign)  x x
Flight Dates (change the campaign start and end date) x

You can only change the end date

Outcome (change the outcome strategy)  x x
People based targeting (change the person list and attributes)  x  
Watchers (add or remove users from weekly campaign insight emails)  x x

Manage Campaigns 

The following table shows the options you can manage in draft and published campaigns.

Archive campaign (archive the campaign)    x
Delete campaign (delete the campaign draft)  x  
Duplicate campaign (create a draft copy with the campaign configurations carried over)  x x
Pause campaign (pause the campaign)    x
Restart campaign (restart the campaign)    x
Unarchive campaign (unarchive the campaign)    x

View Change History

Demandbase tracks the following campaign changes made by your organization and Demandbase:

  • Budget
  • Campaign status 
  • Campaign name
  • Creatives
  • Geolocation
  • Outcome 
  • Start/end date
  • Tags

Prerequisite/Preparation

You must have access to Demandbase Advertising.

Steps: Edit Campaigns

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to 2072d327-78ef-4e8d-afd8-47e5cb04f997 Advertising.  
  2. On the Campaigns page, scroll down to the Campaigns table.
  3. Hover over a campaign name, click the gear icon that appears, and select Edit. In the Campaign Details page that opens, click any section to make editsEditCampaign.png

Steps: Manage Campaigns

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to 2072d327-78ef-4e8d-afd8-47e5cb04f997 Advertising.
  2. On the Campaigns page, scroll down to the Campaigns table.
  3. Hover over a campaign name and click the gear icon that appears. Select one of the following options from the drop-down list:
    Important: The permissions to manage a campaign depends on the campaign status.
    • Published campaigns: Archive, duplicate, restart, or unarchive.
    • Campaign drafts: Duplicate or delete.

Steps: Pause or End Campaigns

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to 2072d327-78ef-4e8d-afd8-47e5cb04f997 Advertising.
  2. On the Campaigns page, scroll down to the Campaigns table.
  3. Select the checkboxes next to the desired campaigns.
    Important: You can pause or end up to 20 campaigns at a time.
  4. Click Take Action and select Pause Campaign or End Campaign.

Steps: View Campaign Settings

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to 2072d327-78ef-4e8d-afd8-47e5cb04f997 Advertising.
  2. On the Campaigns page, scroll down to the Campaigns table.
  3. Hover over a campaign name, click the gear icon that appears, and select Settings.
  4. From the right Campaign settings pane that opens, click on a setting name to go to the campaign settings section. You can also go to the location or watchers section by clicking Edit next to Locations or Watchers.CampaignSettings.png

Steps: View Change History

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Advertising. 
  2. On the Campaigns page, scroll down to the Campaigns table.
  3. Hover over a campaign name, click the gear icon that appears, and select Change history. The change history table shows following details:
    • Campaign, ad group, and ungrouped creative name
    • Change Description
    • Changed (date change was made) 
    • Launch (date change was launched) 
    • User (user that made the change)ChangeHistory.png
