Understanding the Ad Plan Summary

The Ad Plan Summary lets you view all your ad plans with campaigns and budgets. It provides visibility into your advertising budget and helps you track your spending.

Using the Ad Plan Summary, you can:

  • Plan and allocate budget strategically: Increased transparency across ad plans enables more effective spending.
  • Reduce manual tracking and errors: Save time and prevent mistakes by tracking ad plans directly in Demandbase Advertising, eliminating the need for spreadsheets.
  • Self-monitor ad plans: Access your ad plans independently without reaching out to Demandbase for assistance.

To access the Ad Plan Summary, from the left navigation bar, go to Advertising.png Advertising > Ad Plan Summary.

The Ad Plan Summary page includes KPI cards and a table showing your ad plans.

Ad Plans KPI Cards

The KPI cards at the top of the Ad Plan Summary page provides an overview of your overall advertising budget and spending.

KPI Card Definition
Active ad plans Number of active ad plans
Total approved budget Total advertising budget for all your active ad plans
Total allocated Total advertising budget allocated across all your active ad plans
Total spend Total advertising spend across all your active ad plans

Ad Plans Table

Below the KPI cards, the table shows your active ad plans along with their budget and spending details.

Column Name Definition
Campaigns Number of active campaigns with spending allocated from the ad plan
Budget Total advertising budget for the included campaigns
Allocated Total advertising budget allocated across the included campaigns 
Spend Total advertising budget spent to date across the included campaigns
Remaining budget Total remaining advertising budget that can be allocated

From the table, you can:

  • Click the magnifying glass icon to search for an ad plan.
  • Click the arrow next to an ad plan name to expand the table row and show the included campaigns. For each campaign, you can see its spend, budget, and flight dates.
  • Click Export at the top right of the table to export details for all ad plans to a CSV file.
  • Click Export within an expanded table row to export details for a single ad plan to a CSV file.

  • Hover over an ad plan name, click the gear icon that appears, and select Create a new campaign using this ad plan or Edit ad plan name.
    Tip: Selecting the option to create a new campaign opens Step 2 of the Campaign Builder.
