  • Updated

Context

When you create an Automation, you can add actions to add people to Gong Engage flows. These actions allow you to automate managing people in Gong Engage flows based on the selector criteria you specify.

Important: You can’t remove people from a Gong Engage flow at this time.

Prerequisites/Preparation

You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set with the required access to use Orchestration.

Demandbase must be integrated with Gong. See Integrate Gong with Demandbase

You must have a license for Gong Engage.

You must have active Gong Engage flows. See Gong's article on how to set up flows

Your Gong must be integrated with a CRM.

Steps: Add People to Gong Engage Flows

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to Orchestration N.png Orchestration > Automations.
  2. Click Create New to create a new Automation.
Tip: You can edit an existing automation by clicking the name of an Automation.
  3. Enter an automation name and choose People member type.
  4. Use selectors to apply people criteria and click Save

  7. Choose a flow by completing the following from the drop down lists:
    • Flows belong to: Gong user who owns the flow.
    • The Gong Engage Flow: Name of the flow.
Tip: You can see personal flows owned by the user selected in the Flows belong to: drop-down list and all company flows.
  8. Click the Scheduler tab to set up the schedule and frequency for the Automation to run.
  9. Click Activate

Outcome

When the Automation runs, Demandbase identifies people that meet the selector criteria and adds them to the selected Gong Engage flow.

If the Automation workflow fails, you may see the following error messages:

  • No CRM ID found: In Gong, there is no CRM ID for the contact/lead.
  • Invalid crmId <fake_id>: In Gong, the CRM ID is invalid for the contact/lead.
  • No CRM integration with Gong: In Gong, the CRM ID is valid but there is no contact/lead record in Gong.
  • Unexpected error occurred: Unknown error.
