Demandbase offers creative services to enhance the design and messaging of the ad assets that you submit for Targeting Solution campaigns. If you want to add a layer of customization geared toward a targeted account, we can deliver personalized HTML ad banners in ad impressions using a variety of supported file types and media. We can even personalize your animated HTML files.
Consult with your customer success manager (CSM) or advertising campaign strategist (ACS) as to what attribute of the account to highlight in a personalized ad, such as company or industry name. This article provides important specifications to follow as you prepare the ad assets for your ACS.
Important: Verify that your company hasn't used up license-term or purchased entitlement to personalized ad support before preparing and submitting the assets as described in this article. If you aren’t entitled to personalized ad resources, see Non-Personalized Ad Specifications.

Restrictions on Ad Submissions
- Use HTTPS, not HTTP. Ensure that your tracking server uses the HTTPS protocol, and that any internal redirects you’ve set up at your end use HTTPS.
- No unapproved tracking or data collection pixels may be included in any ad creative without approval from Demandbase, prior to the Insertion Order.
- No fourth-party pixels allowed in the ad tags, including DoubleVerify, Rubicon, Marketo, BlueKai, and Xaxis.
- No data collection with ad tags. Due to ad exchange and publisher regulations, we don’t allow data collection via the ad tags. If you add fourth-party pixels at launch or anytime during the ad campaign, we’ll discontinue the creative and the campaign will be paused. This is strictly enforced by the ad exchanges.
- No one-page redirects. Any redirect mechanism that uses an on-page method, like a JavaScript redirect, won’t work. If you use any such redirection mechanisms in your tracking redirect chain, you’ll need to change these mechanisms.
What to Expect After Creative Set Submission
Important: Although we attempt to match your existing creative as closely as possible, allow for some slight variation in layout, animation, and text length.
- Turn-around time for personalized banner preview is 3 to 5 business days. Multiple sets can take longer.
- Allow at least 48 hours between final approvals and actual launch date for testing purposes.
- Once your ad is published, the AdChoices icon link will be overlaid in the upper right corner of the ad. The following screenshot is an example of an ad with an AdChoices link.
The link is there to provide consumers with enhanced information and choices about how and when data is collected or used to serve ads targeted to them based on their likely interests. For more information, see this documentation: http://youradchoices.com.
