When exporting records to Salesforce from Demandbase One for Sales (DBS), each user can authenticate with and export records using their individual Salesforce profile. In Salesforce, updates appear as “Last Modified By [individual user].”
Important: Admins can require users to export data using an integration user profile instead. This provides greater control through centralized access management. When enabled, updates in Salesforce appear as “Last Modified By [integration user].” See Step 3: Add Salesforce Integration in Demandbase One.
Prerequisites
- You must have licenses for both Demandbase One for Marketing (DBM) and Demandbase One for Sales (DBS).
- You must integrate Demandbase with Salesforce.
- Each user must have OAuth permissions in Salesforce. See Verify Users Permitted to Oauth.
Enable Individual User Export
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Settings > Integrated Systems > Integrations.
- Select Salesforce.
- Go to Settings tab > General Settings, and click Edit.
- Toggle OFF Use Integration User for DB1S Export and Sync.
Tip: When Use Integration User for DB1S Export and Sync is toggled ON, Demandbase uses the integration user profile instead of each user's individual Salesforce profile. - Click Save.
