Prerequisites

You must have admin rights in Demandbase.

Edit the Opportunity Touchpoint Look-back Period

The Opportunity Touchpoint Look-back Period settings determine how far back in time an activity can occur to be included as a valid touchpoint.

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to Settings > Analytics > Opportunity Insights > Touchpoints tab.
  2. For each touchpoint, go to the Action column, click the three dots, and click Edit Look-back Period.
  3. Configure the following:
    • First Touch: The earliest qualifying activity that occurred within the lookback window before the Opportunity Creation Date. This touchpoint uses the oldest qualifying activity within that period.
    • Opportunity Creation Date: The date the opportunity record was created in your CRM.
    • Middle Touch: All qualifying activities that occurred between the First Touch and Opportunity Creation Date. Produces multiple rows per opportunity; revenue is split evenly across them.
    • Opportunity Pipeline Date: The date the opportunity entered Pipeline in your CRM.
    • Closure Date: The date the opportunity was closed.
  4. Enter the desired look-back period (number of days, weeks, months, or years) and click Save.
Tip: The maximum look-back period is 12 months.
