Important: This article is for users with both Demandbase One for Marketing and Demandbase One for Sales (DB1S) licenses.
Use folders to organize Unified Lists in Demandbase One for Sales. You can:
- Create top-level folders and up to four levels of subfolders.
- Add lists and subfolders to the same folder.
- Add the same list to multiple folders.
- Rename, favorite, move, or delete folders.
Important:
- All folders are public. Other Demandbase users can rename, move, or delete them.
- Demandbase does not maintain a change history for folders.
- Deleting a folder also permanently deletes its subfolders, but does not delete the lists associated with the folder.
Create a Top-Level Folder for Unified Lists
- Log in to Demandbase One for Sales.
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to Lists tab > Folders.
- Click New Folder.
- Click create a new folder.
- Enter a name for the folder.
- Click Create Folder.
Create a Sub-Folder for Unified Lists
- Log in to Demandbase One for Sales.
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to Lists tab > Folders.
- Click New Folder.
- Next to a top-level folder, click the + plus icon.
- Enter a folder name.
- Click the ✓ checkmark icon.
Add Unified Lists to a Folder from the Lists Tab
- Log in to Demandbase One for Sales.
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- In the Lists tab, select the checkboxes for lists you want to add to a folder.
- Click Take action.
- Click Add to folder.
- In the window that opens, select select an option:
- Add the lists to an existing top-level folder or sub-folder: Click on a folder name and click Add.

Add the lists to a new top-level folder:
- Hover over Folders Homepage and click the + plus icon.
- Enter a folder name.
- Click the ✓ checkmark icon.
- Select the new folder and click Add.
Manage a Unified List Folder
- Log in to Demandbase One for Sales.
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to the Lists tab > Folders.
Tip: To find a folder, use the top Owner or Favorite filters or click the search icon. - To favorite or unfavorite the folder, click the heart icon next to its name.
- To access additional options, hover over the folder name, click the gear icon, and select an option:
- Rename: Update folder name.
- Move: Move the folder and all contained sub-folders and lists to another folder.

Delete: Permanently delete the folders and their subfolders.
Important: Deleted folders and subfolders cannot be recovered. Deleting a folder does not delete the lists associated with it.
Manage Multiple Unified List Folders
- Log in to Demandbase One for Sales.
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to the Lists tab > Folders.
Tip: To find a folder, use the top Owner or Favorite filters or click the search icon. - Select the checkboxes for folders you want to manage.
- Click Take action and select an option:

Make Favorite: Make folders as a favorite.
Tip: By default, Demandbase adds folders you create as favorites. - Unfavorite: Remove folders as a favorite.
- Move to folder: Move folders and all contained sub-folders and lists to another folder.
