Important: This article is for users with both Demandbase One for Marketing and Demandbase One for Sales (DBS) licenses.
Folders in Demandbase One for Sales help you organize and manage your Unified Lists efficiently.
- You can create top-level folders, each containing up to four sub-folders.
- Folders can contain both lists and additional sub-folders for flexible hierarchy.
- A list can exist in multiple folders.
Once created, folders can be:
- Renamed
- Favorited
- Moved (along with any contained lists or sub-folders)
- Deleted without impacting associated lists
Important:
- All folders you create are public and can be edited, moved, or deleted by other Demandbase users.
- Change history is not available for folders.
Create a Top-Level Folder
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to Lists tab > Folders.
- Click New Folder.
- Click create a new folder.
- Enter a name for the folder.
- Click Create Folder.
Create a Sub-Folder
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to Lists tab > Folders.
- Click New Folder.
- Next to a top-level folder, click the right Folder icon.
- Enter a name for the folder.
- Click Create Folder.
Add Lists to a Folder from the Lists Tab
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- In the Lists tab, select the checkboxes for lists you want to add to a folder.
- Click Take action.
- Click Add to folder.
- In the window that opens, select from the following:
- Add the lists to an existing top-level folder or sub-folder: Click on a folder name and click Add.
- Add the lists to a new top-level folder: Click create a new folder, enter a folder name, and click Create folder.
Manage a Folder
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to the Lists tab > Folders.
Tip: To find a folder, use the top Owner or Favorite filters or click the magnifying glass. - Hover over the folder name, click the gear icon that appears, and select from the following:
- Rename: Update folder name.
- Move: Move the folder and all contained sub-folders and lists to another folder.
- Delete: Delete the folder.
Important:- Deleted folders cannot be recovered.
- Deleting a folder deletes all sub-folders.
- Deleting a folder does not delete the lists inside it.
Manage Multiple Folders
- From the left navigation bar, go to
Build a List.
- Go to the Lists tab > Folders.
Tip: To find a folder, use the top Owner or Favorite filters or click the magnifying glass. - Select the checkboxes for folders you want to manage and click Take action.
- Select from the following:
- Make Favorite: Make folders as a favorite.
Tip: By default, Demandbase adds folders you create as favorites. - Unfavorite: Remove folders as a favorite.
- Move to folder: Move folders and all contained sub-folders and lists to another folder.
- Delete: Delete folders.
Important:- Deleted folders cannot be recovered.

- Make Favorite: Make folders as a favorite.
