Understanding the Journeys Dashboard

  • Updated

The configurable Journeys dashboard helps you measure how your target account lists are performing across each of your Journey Stages. You can also track key metrics such as Pipeline, Revenue, Volume, Conversion, and Velocity.

To access the dashboard, from the left navigation bar, go to Journeys_N.png Journeys.

Bear in mind that Journeys track the stages of an account, rather than people, leads, or opportunities.

Date Range Selectors

The date range selectors at the top of the page allow you to update the data shown:

  • Period Type: Select an option for time period ranging from Day to Year.

Pipeline and Revenue

The Pipeline and Revenue section shows KPIs for these metrics related to opportunities for each account list.

  • Pipeline: Sum of the Opportunity Amount Field for opportunities created in the selected date range.
  • Revenue: Sum of the Opportunity Amount Field for opportunities that were closed won in the selected date range.

Tips:

  • Click on a metric under an account list to go to the Analytics2.png Analytics > Opportunities page.
  • You can use a custom Opportunity Amount Field to track the dollar value of opportunities in CRM.
To configure a custom Opportunity Amount Field, administrators can go to Settings_N.png Settings > Demandbase-Wide Settings > Company Settings and select the custom field to use in the Opportunity Configurations section.
  • You can add additional filters to the list of opportunities used to calculate Pipeline and Revenue. For example, you may want to include only new business opportunities, exclude renewals, or add another custom filter to an opportunity or a related account.
To add these filters, administrators can go to Settings_N.png Settings > Journey > Journey Settings, select the Opportunity filter tab, and add filters using Selectors.

Total Volume, Conversion, and Velocity

The Total Volume, Conversion, and Velocity section shows KPIs for these Journey Stage metrics for each account list.

  • Total Volume: The number of accounts that moved forward from one stage to a later stage in the Journey funnel during the selected date range. The Volume metric tallies an account’s forward transition to a particular stage during the date range only once. In other words, the Volume number excludes repeated transitions into a stage for the same account. It doesn’t include backward transitions into a stage. For example, if an account moves backwards from the Meeting stage to the MQA stage, it isn’t included in the Volume number for the MQA stage.
  • Conversion: Percentage of unique accounts that moved into a specific stage and moved forward to subsequent stages during the selected date range.
  • Velocity: Average number of days all selected accounts spent in the configured stage before moving to a forward stage during the selected date range. Demandbase calculates the amount of time that a unique account spent in a stage by tallying the number of days between the most recent transition into that stage and the latest transition out of that stage.

Tips

  • Click on a metric under an account list to go to the corresponding Analytics2.png Analytics > Volume, Velocity, or Conversion page.
  • To configure the Journey Stage for each metric, administrators can go to Settings_N.png Settings > Journey > Journey Settings, select the KPI tab, and select the stages in the Journey metrics section.

Accounts by Journey Stage Table
