Context
The Add to Salesloft Cadence and Remove from Salesloft Cadence actions allow you to add or remove people from Salesloft Cadences directly from Demandbase.
Important: Salesloft prevents actions from being taken on more than 100 people at a time. The limit only applies to the Take Action functionality. If you have the Orchestration solution, you can use Automations without this limitation.
Prerequisites/Preparation
Demandbase Salesloft Integration and active Salesloft Cadences.
Steps: Add to Cadences
- Select people to add to a Salesloft Cadence and click Take Action.
- In the right Take Action menu, select the Partner tab and click Add to Salesloft Cadence.
- From the Assigner drop-down list, select a Salesloft user as the assigner. Demandbase pre-populates this field with your username.

From the Assignee drop-down list, select a Salesloft user as the assignee. Only assignees that the Assigner selected can assign Cadences to are available.

From the Cadences drop-down list, select the Salesloft Cadence to add people to. The Cadences available depend on the Cadences the Assigner selected can access. Team Cadences are available to all Salesloft users. Private Cadences are only available if the Assigner and Assignee selected are the same person.
Tip: If the Cadence you are looking for is not available, click the Refresh icon to sync the latest Cadences from Salesloft. - (Optional) From the Approver drop-down list, select a Salesloft user authorized to approve the change. This option appears if the Require Approval option was enabled when setting up the user-level integration for the Assigner.
- Click Confirm.
Steps: Remove from Sequences
- Select people to remove from a Salesloft Cadence and click Take Action.
- In the right Take Action menu, select the Partner tab and click Remove from Salesloft Cadence.
- From the Assigner drop-down list, select a Salesloft user as the assigner. Demandbase pre-populates this field with your username.
- From the Cadences drop-down list, select the Salesloft Cadence to remove people from. The Cadences available depend on the Cadences the Assigner selected can access. Team Cadences are available to all Salesloft users. Private Cadences are only available if the Assigner and the Assignee are the same person.
- (Optional) From the Approver drop-down list, select a Salesloft user authorized to approve the change. This option appears if the Require Approval option was enabled when setting up the user-level integration for the Assigner.
- Click Confirm.
Outcome
Demandbase sends a request to Salesloft to add or remove the people you selected from the Salesloft Cadence.
Important: If a person you selected was already added to another Cadence, an error message appears in Action History and a pop-up message warns you that Demandbase was unable to complete the action.
The following error messages may also appear if the Cadence selected for an action cannot be assigned:
- Invalid entry selected for Cadence given selection in Salesloft User: This error occurs prior to action execution when assigning a Cadence to a Salesloft user that doesn't have access to the Cadence.
- Cadence is not owned by the provided user and is not a Team Cadence: This error occurs at action execution when assigning a Private Cadence to a Salesloft user that doesn't own the Cadence.
