Take Action: Salesloft Cadences

The Salesloft Cadence actions allow you to add or remove people from Salesloft Cadences.

Important: Take Action functionality is limited to a maximum of 100 records at a time. This limit doesn't apply when using Automations within the Orchestration solution.

Prerequisites

  • You must have Admin privileges or be assigned to a permission set that provides access to Take Action.
  • Demandbase must be integrated with Salesloft.
  • User must have active Salesloft Cadences. 

Add People to Salesloft Cadences

  1. In Demandbase One for Marketing, select one or more people (for example, from Analytics > People or Database > People > Person Lists {Person List} {Person Name}).
  2. Click Take Action.
  3. In the right Take Action menu, select the Partner tab, and click Add to Salesloft Cadence.
  4. Complete the following drop-downs:
    • Salesloft Assigner: Any Salesloft user. By default, Demandbase pre-populates this field with your name.
    • Salesloft Assignee: Any Salesloft user.
    • Cadence: Salesloft Cadence you want people added to.
      important: The Cadences available depend on what the Assigner has access to. 
      • Team Cadences are available to all Salesloft users.
      • Private Cadences are only available if the Assigner and Assignee are the same person.
      • If a Cadence is not available, click the Refresh icon to sync the latest Cadences.
    • (Optional) Approver: Salesloft user authorized to approve the change. 
      Important: This option is only available if the Require Approval option was enabled when setting up the user-level integration for the Assigner. 
  5. Click Confirm.

Remove People from Salesloft Cadences

  1. In Demandbase One for Marketing, select one or more people (for example, from Analytics > People or Database > People > Person Lists {Person List} {Person Name}).
  2. Click Take Action.
  3. In the right Take Action menu, select the Partner tab, and click Remove from Salesloft Cadence.
  4. Complete the following drop-downs:
    • Salesloft Assigner: Any Salesloft user. By default, Demandbase pre-populates this field with your name.
    • Cadence: Salesloft Cadence you want people added to.
      important: The Cadences available depend on what the Assigner has access to. 
      • Team Cadences are available to all Salesloft users.
      • Private Cadences are only available if the Assigner and Assignee are the same person.
      • If a Cadence is not available, click the Refresh icon to sync the latest Cadences.
    • (Optional) Approver: Salesloft user authorized to approve the change. 
      Important: This option is only available if the Require Approval option was enabled when setting up the user-level integration for the Assigner. 
  5. Click Confirm.

Outcome

Demandbase sends a request to Salesloft to add or remove people from the Salesloft Cadence. 

If a person as already added to another Cadence, an error message appears in Action History and a pop-up message warns you that Demandbase was unable to complete the action.

Troubleshoot

The following error messages may appear for actions that cannot be assigned:

  • Invalid entry selected for Cadence given selection in Salesloft User: Salesloft user doesn't have access to the Cadence.
  • Cadence is not owned by the provided user and is not a Team Cadence: Salesloft user doesn't have access to the private Cadence.
