Reference: Attribution Custom Objects and Salesforce Limits

  • Updated

Salesforce Custom Object Limits

As a native Salesforce app, Attribution includes many custom objects that are used for configuration and reporting. To understand the impact of adding any app or custom code to your organization review the Salesforce Limits guide.

In the Salesforce Limits guide, you'll see that the custom objects that are contained in a managed package that’s publicly posted on the AppExchange don’t count against the limits for your Salesforce edition.

Therefore, the custom objects included in Attribution described below do not count towards your org's custom object limit, because Attribution is a managed package that's publicly posted on the AppExchange.

These Attribution custom objects are used for settings/configuration and require very little data storage.

Journey and Attribution Records of a Journey Stage Transition

For each journey stage transition (for example, a journey record went from Aware to Open Opportunity on October 11), Demandbase Attribution creates a journey record within Salesforce.

For each journey record, Demandbase Attribution creates attribution records to attribute the value for the corresponding activities to that journey stage transition. (You must set up the activities in Engagement Minutes for Attribution to report on them.)
