Schedule Automations to Run

  • Updated

Context

After you create an Automation, you can schedule when and how often you want it to run. From the Scheduler tab, you can use one of the following options to schedule an Automation to run:

  • Run Once Now: Runs an Automation once immediately.
  • Schedule Run: Schedules an Automation to run once at a later date and time. This option can be used multiple times to schedule additional runs for an Automation.
  • Make Recurring: Schedules an Automation to run on a recurring schedule.

If you want to see the number of accounts or people that currently qualify for an Automation before you schedule it to run, click the Set to Effect icon. The number shown may differ from the number shown in the Selector tab because of the Qualification Rules set up for the Automation.

When you use the Schedule Run and Make Recurring options, Demandbase adds entries under Upcoming Runs and allows you to Activate the Automation.

Important: If you want an Automation to run at the scheduled times, you must first activate it. See Activate an Automation.

About Daylight Saving Time

Demandbase converts scheduled run times to account for Daylight Saving Time. For example, if an Automation is scheduled to run at 8 am PST, Demandbase updates the scheduled time to 8 am PDT after the time change.

If an Automation is scheduled to run during the hour when clocks are set forward, Demandbase skips the run. If an Automation is scheduled to run during the hour when clocks are set back, Demandbase accounts for the time change and runs the Automation only once.
