Where do I install Salesforce-Demandbase Integration? (Can you give me a high-level view?)
A. Connect Demandbase and Salesforce Securely
Step 1: On your computer. Install the Demandbase Scout app on your computer. You will need to be a Salesforce System Admin and have a subscription to Salesforce Demandbase Integration. Install Demandbase Scout (ABM) from the Demandbase appexchange. See Salesforce Requirements and Step 1: Add Salesforce App Exchange Package.
Step 2: In Salesforce. Connect the Demandbase ABM app that you just installed to Salesforce and enable security with OAuth (OAuth is a flexible framework for securing application access to protected resources through Application Programming Interfaces). You’ll get the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret you need for step 3. See Step 2: Obtain Your Salesforce Credentials.
Step 3: In Demandbase. Log out of Salesforce completely and login to Demandbase. You must be a Demandbase Admin. Add Salesforce as your Data Source, and set up security (OAuth as Access Token or alternative Password type). See Step 3: Add the Salesforce Integration in Demandbase.
B. Sync the Data and Create a Dashboard
Step 4: In Salesforce. Add Demandbase fields and Matched Leads Lists. (Sorry, The fields are legacy fields for which we can’t change the names, so they are still labeled Engagio.) Syncing the data can take 1-5 days, depending on how much data you have. You can monitor the progress in Demandbase at Settings > System Monitoring > Data Sync Status. Step 5: in Salesforce. Add Demandbase charts in Salesforce Lightning or Salesforce Classic. See Step 5: Native Demandbase Charts in Salesforce (Visualforce).
Step 6: In Salesforce. Add Demandbase as a tab in Salesforce Lightning or Salesforce Classic. See Step 6: Add Demandbase as a Tab in Salesforce.
Once I have Demandbase-Salesforce integration installed, what do I get out-of-the-box within Salesforce?
Fields: The fields you selected when you performed Step 4 of the Demandbase-Salesforce Integration installation, such as Number of People, Engaged People, Engagement Minutes (3 mo.), Demandbase Journey Stage, MQA Date, High Intent Engagement Mins (1 mo.), Pipeline Predict Score, and Qualification Score for the Accounts tab. Here’s a view of the fields that one team chose. (For a complete list, see Step 4: Adding Demandbase Fields to Salesforce.)
Charts: The charts you selected when you performed Step 5, , which is called Visualforce, such as Account Highlights, Engagement Timeline, Activities, Heatmap, Communication History and Intent Trends. Here’s a chart in Salesforce Classic:
Dashboard: The dashboard you display them on. It has six tabs to explore.
