Context
Our "Native Charts" feature brings Demandbase insights directly to your Salesforce. The chart includes Demandbase Account Highlights, Intent Trends, Engagement Timeline, Activities, Heatmap, and Communication History.
Follow the Salesforce Lightning or Salesforce Classic instructions below.
Prerequisites
- You must have Admin privileges within your Salesforce environment.
- Install our latest AppExchange Package: Salesforce AppExchange: Demandbase (ABX Cloud) Package.
Important: Even if you already had the Demandbase package installed, you'll need the latest version to access all of the components. When you log in to Salesforce and check out the AppExchange listing, it will tell you what version you have and what the latest version is.
Steps: Salesforce Lightning
- Log in to Salesforce as an Admin user.
- Go to any Account record. Click the Gear icon at the top right of the page and select Edit Page from the drop-down.
- Scroll down on the left navigation to the Custom - Managed section and you will see the Demandbase Visualforce component.
- Drag DemandbaseTabs onto the page layout as desired. All charts are consolidated into a single tabbed component.
- Click Save.
- (Optional) For optimal visibility, adjust the sizing of the chart:
- Click the wrench at the top right of the Visualforce module.
- Change the height to 500-600 pixels.
- Click Save.
- Click the wrench at the top right of the Visualforce module.
- (Optional) Add the DemandbaseTabs_Opp tab to the Opportunity and Contact page layouts.
Steps: Salesforce Classic
- Log in to Salesforce as an Admin user.
- Go to any Account record. Click Edit Layout at the top right of the page.
- Go to VisualForce Pages.
- Drag DemandbaseTabs onto the page layout as desired. All charts are consolidated into a single tabbed component.
Tip: Create a Section for the VisualForce component, that way a user can collapse and expand as needed. You may want to make this new section one column, rather than the default two-column arrangement. - (Optional) For optimal visibility, adjust the sizing of the chart:
- Click the wrench at the top right of the Visualforce module.
- Change the height to 500-600 pixels.
- Click Save.
- Click the wrench at the top right of the Visualforce module.
- (Optional) Add the DemandbaseTabs_Opp tab to the Opportunity and Contact page layouts.
Outcome
You'll see the Demandbase Visualforce Chart in your Salesforce page layouts.
Important: The chart view differs by license type. If you’re unsure about your license type, contact your CSM for more information.
Troubleshooting
If you or one of your users sees a blank frame where the Demandbase Charts should show, they may need to review their browser settings. Cross-site cookies are required to display the information. In Chrome, for example, one should go to Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data, then select "Allow all cookies." In Firefox, the "Enhanced Tracking Protection" should be set to Standard to allow the tab to load.
