From time to time you may need to recover administrator access to the Demandbase Platform. This may happen when an administrator leaves the company or should no longer have the administrator access permissions. This article is intended for this scenario; for general user management instructions, follow the steps outlined in this article.
- Check if there are other administrators
- Recover administrator permissions
- Contact the former administrator
- Can Demandbase grant administrator access?
If you know who the other administrators are, please work with them to gain access. If you don't then request a list of the people who have Administrator access to your account from your CSM.
Upon determining who your administrators are, email or work with the administrator to request access using the steps outlined in this article.
If all of the administrators have left the company, another option is to work with your internal team to grant you access to the administrators' inbox by way of your email management administrator or IT team. With access to the users inbox, you can then use the password reset option located at https://authentication.demandbase.com/signin/forgot-password to reset their password and gain access to their account. From there you can make yourself admin using the steps outlined in this article, log in as yourself and remove the user from the platform. Please also consider creating additional admins to prevent this scenario from happening again.
If you are able to contact the admin who left the company, ask them to log into the platform and add you as an administrator. Once you're an administrator you can follow the steps outlined in this article to manage your users.
For security reasons, Demandbase employees are unable to add, modify or delete the users of your account. We understand that this can be frustrating for users that are locked out of their own accounts. This policy is in place to protect all Demandbase users and their data. This policy minimizes the risk that an ill-intentioned person (like a hacker, a disgruntled former employee, or simply someone with a similar name) can’t break into an account through social engineering.
At Demandbase, we take security and data protection seriously and we hope you understand and appreciate that our intent is not to disrupt your workflow, but to keep your data safe and secure. If you're still unable to gain access then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to CC your Customer Success Manager.
