ABM Platform and Audience Enhancements

New Audit Report

What it is: You now have visibility into how your accounts are mapped from their CSV files or CRM reports to accounts in a Demandbase audience during the audience creation process. Every audience in the ABM Platform created from a CSV file or CRM report has an Audit Report link underneath the audience name. Audiences in an active targeting campaign will not have the audit report link available.

What it solves: You can review problematic account records and make edits in the ABM Platform, ensuring that all key accounts are included in an audience and can be used throughout the ABM Platform.

When is it available?: Available Now

New Audit Report Download Capability Via CSV

What it is: You can now download the Audit Report via a CSV file. The Download CSV button is located above the table on the Audit Report page. When you download the report, the report will reflect whatever filters you have applied in the Audit Report. For example, if you only have name/domain conflicts selected, the download will only show name/domain conflicts.

What it solves: You now have the ability to download the Audit Report via a CSV file so it can be used for mass-scrubbing of lists.

This guide displays automatically if this is the first time you are viewing the Audit Report page. You can also access this guide from the Audit Report page by clicking the Lightbulb icon on the bottom corner of the page, and then selecting Guided Tours > Audit Report GA.

New Custom Attributes Self-Service

  • What it is: Allows you to monitor accounts in your audiences and push the data to 3rd party solutions using custom attributes. You can also determine which attributes to push to your analytics solutions and manage those attributes in the ABM Platform (Google Analytics users only at this time).
  • What it solves: You no longer need to rely on your CSM to manage and modify account watch lists. You'll gain transparency into the attributes configured to be used in your 3rd party integrations.
  • When is it available?: Early Adopter Program (EAP) available now for Google Analytics users. Reach out to your CSM if you are interested in joining the EAP.

New Icon for Targeted Audiences

What it is: When you are looking at a list of audiences in the ABM Platform, there will be an orange targeting icon that denotes whether an audience is being used in an active campaign. If you hover over the icon, you will see the list of campaigns that the audience is a part of. If an audience is being targeted, it cannot be deleted or renamed, and the Audit Report will not be accessible. However, you can and add and hide accounts from the audiences.

What it solves: You wanted the ability to visually identify what audiences are being used in an active campaign.

New Icon for Targeted Accounts

What it is: If there are accounts in an audience where the whole audience is not being used in a campaign, but certain accounts are being targeted via another audience, we now denote that with a Targeting icon.

New Rename, Delete or Re-Upload an Audience

What it is: You can rename and delete an audience by clicking the Cog wheel icon next to the audience name and selecting Rename or Delete from the menu list. If this audience was created via CSV file upload, you can also re-upload an audience by clicking Re-upload audience. You may want to re-upload an audience list via CSV if you are using an audience for targeting (or other methods) and you want to change the makeup of an audience list (or the custom attributes associated with accounts in the list) but do not want to change the audience name or disrupt the audience link to a targeting campaign. The Rename and Delete options are visible for failed and no-profile audiences but not for audiences with an active targeting campaign.

What it solves: You wanted the ability to easily rename or delete an audience. In addition, you wanted the ability to re-upload an audience when there was a need to change the makeup of the audience list without changing the audience name or disrupting the link to a targeting campaign.

When is it available?: Available Now

Updates to Keyword Discovery System Messages

What it is: You now have more effective system messages for Keyword Discovery. For example, there are times when Keyword Discovery is unable to generate a cloud either due to the number of keywords in the profile or numbers of accounts in the audience.

What it solves: Helps you to better understand and troubleshoot Keyword Discovery issues.

Demandbase API Enhancements

API Registry Data Changes

What is it: We updated the Demandbase API to remove two deprecated attributes. As a result of an update to one of our 3rd party data sources, we will no longer be able to return values for two data fields previously available in the API response:

  • registry_country_code3
  • registry_area_code

These fields will continue to be included in the API response from Demandbase, but they will return a “null” value. Furthermore, the registry_company_name attribute will return different company names formats. For example, "Google LLC" vs "Google”.

When is it available? This change will take effect on May 8th, 2019.

New Secure Partner API

What is it: This feature gives you simplified management of our Salesforce application onboarding. You can use a key system to onboard our Salesforce app. This also provides significantly more security to this process. This feature also includes the ability for partners to generate a development key directly from our platform for use with our Audience/Partner API.

What it solves: Simplifies the process of the Salesforce app onboarding process with added security.

When is it available? This feature is currently only available in the Early Adopter Program (EAP). Reach out to your CSM if you are interested in joining the EAP.

Updated Engagement Definition

  • What it is: The definition of engagement is now consistent across the ABM Platform (ABM Analytics, Audiences and Campaign Reporting). The definition for engagement now means the number of accounts that have met your definition of website engagement: a certain amount of site activity within a certain time.
  • What it solves: Confusion over why the funnel metrics were different in Campaign Reporting versus other areas of the ABM Platform.
    • In the past, engagement in campaign reporting had included impressions served, but this led to inconsistent-looking data across the ABM Platform because Audiences and ABM Analytics reporting don't take impression data into account. Impressions will no longer impact the campaign engagement numbers, so now this definition is consistent across the entire ABM Platform.
  • When is it available?: Now Available
