FAQ: Why Some Accounts May Not Appear After CSV Import

When you import a list of accounts, Demandbase matches them against its proprietary database. During this process, some accounts may not appear due to data quality or matching issues.

Common reasons for discrepancies include:

  • Name and domain conflict: The URL is incorrect or does not match Demandbase data
  • Invalid domain: The URL contains a typo or is missing
  • Duplicate companies: The same company appears multiple times or uses different URLs (for example, GE.com and GE.uk merge into a single account based on the first entry)
  • Unrecognized or invalid records: The company cannot be matched in the database
  • IP address not found: The IP address does not exist in the Demandbase database
