Overview
As part of our continued commitment to data privacy, we have taken steps to make the Demandbase ABM Platform even more secure. This may have impacted Platform pageviews in the following ways:
Your Onsite Consent Manager
A consent manager is a tool you can use on your site to get permission to collect personal data. Visitors interact with the consent manager to see what cookies are being set and what data tracking technology is on the site. If you have the Demandbase Tag behind a consent manager, the Tag will not fire until consent is given. This may impact your pageview data depending on your implementation and visitor consent.
Ad Inventory
Receiving appropriate consent from individuals before engaging in personalized advertising with those individuals is best practice for customer satisfaction. Publishers who are leveraging opt-in mechanisms and ad exchange bidders like Demandbase are equipped to receive the opt-in attribute from publishers and bid accordingly. If you are running an ad campaign with Demandbase, you received an email explaining that inventory might be constrained during the transitionary period during which publishers are adopting consent managers and other opt-in technology and individuals are deciding whether to opt in.
