Build Lists Using the Suppression List Filter

When building lists in Sales Intelligence, you can use the suppression list filter to exclude companies and the people associated with those companies. The suppression list filter can be used with your watchlists, saved lists, and saved searches. If you imported a data file as a list, you can also use it with the suppression list filter.


Create the watchlist, saved list, or saved search you want to use.


  1. To build a new list, do one of the following:
    • In the Sales Intelligence web app, go to Build a List.png Build a List in the left navigation bar.
    • In the Sales Intelligence iFrame or browser extension, click the three lines at the top right and select Build a List to open the web app.
      Tip: You can also add the suppression list filter to lists you saved previously as saved searches. For more information about editing saved searches, see Build and Manage Lists.
  2. Add list build filters for the search criteria. For more information about available filters, see Reference: List Build Filters.
  3. Click the plus icon at the bottom of the page to select additional filters in the window that opens.

  4. To add the suppression list filter, select Suppression List from the filter options, select the item to use, and click Apply.

  5. Click Search to see and review the list results.
  6. Click Save to save the list as a saved search.

  7. In the window that opens, enter a Search Name and click Save.
  8. (Optional) To export the list results, click Export and select Export to Excel File or Export to CSV. Your credit limit determines the number of records you can export. For more information, see Understanding Export Credit Limits .
