Step 7: (Optional) Add Sales Intelligence as a Tab in Salesforce

Context

After you install or upgrade to the latest Demandbase app package, you can add a custom tab for Demandbase Sales Intelligence in Salesforce Lightning or Classic. When users access the custom tab, the default view shows the Prescriptive Sales Dashboards with their account lists prioritized. 

Prerequisites/Preparation

You must have Admin privileges within your Salesforce environment to create tabs. 

Your users in Salesforce must have a Demandbase log in.

Steps: Salesforce Lightning

  1. Log in to Salesforce as an Admin user.
  2. Click the pencil icon at the top right of the navigation bar.

  3. In the Edit Sales App Navigation Items window, click Add More Items.

  4. In the Add Items window, click All in the left menu, click the plus sign next to Demandbase Sales Intelligence, and click Add 1 New Item.
    Tip: Enter Demandbase in the search field to find the item more quickly.

  5. In the Edit Sales App Navigation Items window, reorder the items in your navigation bar if necessary and click Save.

    The new Demandbase Sales Intelligence tab appears in your navigation bar. Go to the tab to access Sales Intelligence directly within Salesforce.

Steps: Salesforce Classic

  1. Log in to Salesforce as an Admin user.
  2. Click the plus icon at the top right of the navigation bar.

  3. From the All Tabs page, click Customize My Tabs.

  4. From the Customize My Tabs page, select Demandbase Sales Intelligence in the Available Tabs section and click Add.
  5. Click Up or Down to reorder the items in your navigation bar if necessary and click Save.
    The new Demandbase Sales Intelligence tab appears in your navigation bar. Go to the tab to access Sales Intelligence directly within Salesforce.
