Create and Manage Watchlists

Context

Watchlists in Sales Intelligence enable you to follow the latest news and events related to the companies and people that you care about most. You can create static watchlists and add companies and people to them. You can also create automated CRM watchlists based on criteria you specify. After you create your watchlists, you can export or delete them.

Prerequisites/Preparation

You must be a Salesforce user with the Trial, Enterprise, or Elite license types to use Automated watchlists.

Steps: Create a Static Watchlist

  1. In Sales Intelligence, click your profile and select Manage Watchlists to go to the Manage Watchlists page.

  2.  At the top right of the page, click New.

  3. In the window that opens, click Static Watchlist.
    Important:
    • The option to select a watchlist type only appears if you’re using the Sales Intelligence iFrame and haven‘t created an Automated CRM watchlist.
    • The number of watchlists you can create depends on your license type. See Understanding Watchlists.
  4. In the window that opens, do the following:
    • Enter a Watchlist Name.
    • Select an Alert Frequency.
    • Select an Alert Type.
    • Select an Email Format.
    • Click Save.

Steps: Create an Automated CRM Watchlist

  1. In the Sales Intelligence iFrame in Salesforce, click the three lines at the top right and select Manage Watchlists.

  2. At the top right of the page, click New.

  3. In the window that opens, click Automated CRM Watchlist.
  4. In the window that opens, do the following:
    • Enter a Watchlist Name.
    • Select one of the following options from the Account Criteria drop-down list:
      • Account I own: Select to add accounts owned by the user to the watchlist.
      • Open opportunities I own: Select add all open opportunities owned by the user to the watchlist.
      • Custom Criteria: Select to use Salesforce fields to create a customized watchlist.
    • Click Save.
      Important: Watchlists can have up to 200 companies.
  5. Click Review matches. If there are unmatched companies, the list appears by default in the window that opens.

  6. Click Find Company next to an unmatched account to search for a match in Sales Intelligence.

  7. Search for and select the matching company.
  8. Click Save.

Steps: Add Individual Companies or People to a Watchlist

  1. In Sales Intelligence, navigate to the profile for the company or person.
  2. Click the Follow icon.

  3. In the window that opens, select the checkbox for the watchlist.
    Tip: You can add the company or person to multiple watchlists by selecting their checkboxes.

Steps: Add Multiple Companies to a Watchlist

  1. In Sales Intelligence, navigate to the Manage Watchlists page.
  2. Click the name of the watchlist.
  3. At the top right of the page, click Add.
  4. Enter the name of the companies in the text box and click Search.
    Tips:
    • Enter the name of each company on a separate line in the text box.
    • Use the Search for companies in drop-down list to filter companies by location.

  5. Select the checkboxes for the companies you want to add to the watchlist.
  6. At the bottom of the page, click Add to Watchlist.

Steps: Export a Watchlist

  1. In Sales Intelligence, navigate to the Manage Watchlists page.
  2. Click the name of the watchlist.
  3. At the top right of the page, click Export and select Company or People to export the companies or people on the watchlist as a CSV file.

Steps: Delete a Watchlist

  1. In Sales Intelligence, navigate to the Manage Watchlists page.
  2. Hover over the watchlist and click the delete icon that appears.
    Important: You cannot delete Frequently Viewed or Automated watchlists.
