Is IPv6 supported?

  • Updated

To maximize consistency and identifiability of traffic across all networks and devices, Demandbase tracks identity via IPv4 addresses only. While IPv6 is an important new protocol that is quickly gaining adoption, the vast majority of devices using IPv6 are also accessible via an IPv4 address; this is called dual-stack. According to Google, as of 12/2019, over 70% of their users do not support IPv6, meaning they are only identifiable with an IPv4 address. Eventually, as the size of the IPv6-only Internet becomes meaningful, Demandbase will support identification with IPv6 addresses.
