Upgrade the Demandbase App Package in Salesforce

Context

You can upgrade the Demandbase app package directly from the Salesforce AppExchange.

Prerequisites/Preparation

You must have Admin privileges within your Salesforce environment. 

Steps

  1. Go to the Demandbase app package listing in the Salesforce AppExchange.
    Tip: To see if you have the most recent version, click the More Details tab and check the version number.

  2. Click Get It Now. There is no charge to upgrade the package.

  3. Log in to Salesforce with Trailblazer.me using a Salesforce admin user profile.

  4. Select Install in Production.
    Important: If installing in a Sandbox, only connect a Salesforce Sandbox to a Demandbase Sandbox. Reach out to your Demandbase account team and ensure you have a Demandbase Sandbox environment.

  5. Check the Terms and Conditions box, click Confirm and Install.Screen_Shot_2022-07-11_at_2.31.16_PM.jpg
  6. Select Install for All Users and click Upgrade. Engagio is the Publisher. 
    Important: Installing the app for Admins only will require the addition of component and class permissions for non-admins to view charts.

  7. The "Upgrading and granting access to all Users..." message appears.

  8. When you see the "Upgrade Complete!" message, click Done. The most recent Demandbase App is now available in your Salesforce.

The following updates were made to the Demandbase iFrame:

  • In Salesforce Classic, the DemandbaseTabs_Contact tab can now be added to the Contact page layout.
  • In Salesforce Lightning, dynamic height adjustment is now available.
1.32 February 2023 An issue was resolved that prevented the DemandbaseTabs_Opp tab from loading correctly in the Demandbase iFrame.

The previous versions of these fields were renamed:

Additional updates include:

  • Visualforce pages that are no longer used have been removed from the app package.
  • The character limit for the Demandbase Journey Stage field in Salesforce has been increased to 120 characters.
