Define Lead Source for Leads in Microsoft Dynamics

This article covers how to define the Lead source field for Leads as part of Demandbase Sales Intelligence installation. 

Prerequisites/Preparation

You must have admin privileges in Microsoft Dynamics. 

Steps

1. Log in Microsoft Dynamics CRM as an admin user. 
2. Go to Go to Settings > Customizations > Customize the System > Entities > Lead > Fields. Click the checkbox next to LeadSourceCode. 
3. Click Edit.  
   
4. In Field Requirement, choose Business Recommended or Business Required.
5. In Auditing, choose Enable. 
6. Go to Options:
   • Click the + button. 
   • In Label, enter Demandbase. 
   • In Value, keep default value. 
7. Click Save and Close. 
   
8. Click Publish All Customizations.
