Best Practices for HubSpot CRM Permissions

Before setting up the HubSpot CRM integration, you must create an integration user in HubSpot CRM with the required permissions shown below. For more information, see the HubSpot documentation to Add HubSpot Users and HubSpot user permissions guide (for individuals and teams.) 


  • As a best practice, we highly recommend that you create a dedicated HubSpot user that Demandbase can use to synchronize with HubSpot. This allows you to more easily update permissions than using a user that is an employee who might leave the company or change roles.
  • You must have Admin privileges in HubSpot CRM to set up the integration user.

Read Access: 

  • Activities
  • Company
  • Contacts
  • Deals 
  • Users

Write/Edit Access:

  • Accounts
  • Contacts
